test drive - 2009 G8 GT

So – I drove a 2009. The current incentives bring the actual transaction price of a G8 GT ( Premium, Sport, Roof ) to approx. $2K below invoice. Just over $30K, on this ‘old invoice’ 2009. Executive summary: I do like the G8 GT – a lot. Background: I currently drive a Corvette Coupe with A6 \ 6L80 trans. – driveline is very similar to the G8 GT. I have driven 2 2008 G8 GTs. ... Otherwise, DSFDF. ... Read More...

Re: Use G8 Key fob on G6 [don129]

And that's what happened to me also. I had been researching the G8 GT for a while and went to the dealer yesterday. Test drove the V8 and that was it. After a few hours of the usual horse trading, drove a 2008 Magnetic Gray Metallic G8 GT home. All I can say is wow. Pontiac really nailed this one. Read More...

Re: Fuel Type for Pontiac G8 [lvhatchbk]

Even though I know what you mean, your question highlights a common point of confusion: the difference between "recommended" and "required" when it comes to octane. If the word "required" is used, end of story. A 91 octane requirement is a hard stop. Of course you are free to go higher, if you can find it and are willing to pay. If "recommend" is in the language, then ... Read More...

Pontiac G8 Lease Questions

G8 GT MF and Residuals???

There isn't a forum for pricing or leasing on Pontiac G8's, so I figured I would post here. Does anyone know the current MF, residual and dealer cash for a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT? I have to assume these are not moving exceptionally well in this market, so hopefully Pontiac is aggressive especially on 2008's . Thanks for the help Read More...
