Review

My wife and I replaced her 2000 Grand Prix GTP coupe with a a 2007 Blue-Gold Chrystal Metallic G6 GTP sedan. Through the first 7200 miles we've taken it on one road trip thus far and achieved an average of 30.6 mpg. Overall my wife and I are happy with the G6 GTP. However, the steering rack had to be replaced (warranty). The steering rack replacement was painless and took just one day (great local dealer).

Favorite Features

The powertrain is wonderful. The car is fun to drive for what it is (I have a modified 2004 GTO for spirited driving). The automatic climate control and leather seats are also a plus.

Suggested Improvements

I would like to have a couple of memory settings for driver seating settings.

Review

This is the worst car I have ever owned. The Sun visors fall out if you try and move them to the side windows, the starter re-engages on its own after start up, the throttle sticks open from time to time, the wind deflector on the moon roof broke about two weeks after purchase.

Favorite Features

Radio

Suggested Improvements

Nice looking cars but GM has really gone down hill. I have always owned GM cars but this will be the last, I really cant believe they put a car on the road like this with so many problems.

This car has given me nothing but headaches. I had 2 head gaskets blow when it had only 12,000 miles on it. I also cannot keep brakes on this car. It only has 32,000 miles on it and I have had the brakes worked on multiple times. The rotors just do not last. My latest repairs included spark plugs and wires and leaking sunroof just this past week.

Favorite Features

The thing that I like best about my car is that it has an automatic start which is very useful.

Suggested Improvements

Start over. Would love to trade however, I am so upside down that it is not a feasible choice at this time.

I absolutely love my G6! I recently moved from the north, and when I bought it over a year ago, barely anyone owned this car. Now having moved to south, I see more people with it, but I still feel good driving mine. This was my fourth car in less than 3 years, and I love it the best! Like another person said, this is the first car I am not sick of driving within the first few months. I love the design because it's sleek and smooth. I would not trade this car in for anything, and I can not wait to see how the G6 evolves over the next few years.

Favorite Features

I love the exterior design the most. But other options I love are the self- adjusting wiping blades. Also, I love the interior red lights on the dashboard! I have tinted windows on my car, and it looks so good at night.

Suggested Improvements

I would put a 6-disc changer in all base models (automatic engine).

I purchased this car so my wife would have a safe reliable car, this is the first car I ever purchased new, 3000 miles the dealership changed the oil and didn't put oil back in the engine, car broke down on interstate and had to be towed back. got no help from dealership and have since purchased a Honda Civic, do not buy a car like this it is cheap, and not reliable

This is my 3rd new car, and best of the bunch. Much better than my Cavalier and Malibu. I am a union worker and only buy American cars. I don't understand people who live in America and buy foreign cars. Support American workers, buy American cars. You will like the G6.

Favorite Features

Leather seats. Get leather if you can afford it.

Suggested Improvements

Bigger trunk would be nice.

Review

The review is actually for a Canadian version of Pontiac G6 SE with Performance Package (3.5L 224-hp V6, hydraulic steering, fog lights; ABS, curtain-side airbags come standard). Purchased just a month ago, and I still can't get over a very competent sporty ride, solid build, just the right suspension, firm cornering, and loads of torque for sudden acceleration. Very roomy too, and all controls are nicely placed. The car is a pleasure to look at and a joy to drive!

Favorite Features

Powerful engine, sporty firm but absorbing suspension, solid cornering, simple but elegant muscular style. Great sound system too. This car turns heads!

Suggested Improvements

Better interior plastic finishing (especially the steering wheel), lower brake pedal, 6-speed auto transmission, larger dash tray, overhead compartment for garage door opener, map lights on the rear-view mirror, a little lighter steering and a smaller steering wheel.

Review

I bought this car in January 07, to downsize from a Gas sucking Yukon. This is a nice looking car and I thought I loved the panoramic roof. WRONG!!!! I do love to ride with the roof open but when it is closed, there is so much wind noise that you can not even talk! My car is in the shop now for the 9th time to repairs this. They have had it for 9 days now! GM is involved and I hope they buy it back! Multiple other problems exist as well, brakes, environmental system was putting a bad smell into the car, power steering racks wen out when car was 11 months old, had to have heaters on seats checked. Gas miles not as good as stated.

Favorite Features

LOVE the heated seats LOVE the roof when it is open

Review

I purchased this car about a year ago and I still LOVE it!! I previously had a grand am that I liked, but I got sick of it after only 9 months. this is the only car I've ever had that I didn't get sick of right away. Also the first brand new car I ever got. The exterior is amazing, I have seen some reviews about them not having remote locks, I guess I thought it was standard. I have remote lock/start, sunroof, 19" rims, V6, heated leather seats, automatic with manual option, telescoping steering wheel.

Favorite Features

I love the red dash illumination, telescoping steering wheel, auto lights, excellent get up and go for speed, great sound system. I really like that there are shoulder belts on all of the seats in the back. Also like the outlet inside the center console, its nice to store my cell charger

Suggested Improvements

I wish there was an MP3 jack, and that the heated seats would turn on with the electric start in the winter. The stabilitrak and traction control are new to me, hard to get used to. Also, the rims seem to catch a lot of snow in the winter causing vibrations. Overall I absolutely love this car!!!

Review

Traded this car after 1 year. Couldn't get over the rough ride very cheap plastic bland interior. The front seats are hard as rocks and the drivers seat (not power) was horribly uncomfortable and actually put your legs to sleep. i always felt like i was in a cave while driving this car. Then the steering at 9,000 miles broke and that was it for me. Read past blogs about the major problem Pontiac is having with this crap steering system. i was not interested in keeping a car with abysmal ratings in my garage any longer. Went with Hyundai 09 sonata and so much happier. i also got 22 miles per gallon in the city with some highway driving here in Chicago and i am far from a lead foot.

Favorite Features

radio was good. Transmission was fine as well.

Suggested Improvements

seats, engineering, quality.
