2006 Pontiac G6 Road Test Ratings

The G6 is an improvement over it's Grand Am predecessor, but it still only has just enough of the right stuff to score merely average numbers.

Good, if not great handling is marred by a vague electric power steering system.

The well-damped ride might be a bit firm for some. Too much low-quality engine noise comes from under the hood.

The interior is inviting and has a logical layout, but trunk space is below the class average.

The inoffensive design is thankfully devoid of exterior cladding. The inside looks nice enough, but a few too-many high gloss materials are present.
