This is an easy fix. Should take 10 minutes. Pull back the carpet in the trunk that covers the back of the rear light. You will see two nuts that you can easily get to and remove. Hello, The 2006 G6's can be recognized by the side body molding. 2006's came in two models......the GT and the GTP. The GT was the cheaper of the two. Since the major portions of the options are basically the Premium Package and the Sport Package, the GTP had them both. My 2007 has the both packages, the adjustable pedals, and the side airbags. I was one of the original posters and this is what me solution was. First I had to get my drivers side wheel bearing done for over $300. That stopped the loud roaring sound and vibration coming on the front end. Next I had to get my brakes pads and rotors replaced for over $300 which stopped the jerky (kinda like the brakes were skipping) feeling while stopping. Lastly ... Read More...

I may have solved my brake/rotor issues. So far, so good. Apparently I've been lucky, because I didn't have to replace brakes until about 45k on my 2006 G6. But I was doomed after that, of course. I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 4cyl, I have the same problem with mine, they replaced the steering column and replaced the front right tierod, it was fine for a year then about a month ago the problem has started again, i will be taking it back to the shop again.. :( Read More...
