I have be out standing happy with my car. and it has never left me anywere. even after the waterpump went out. i was able to limp her 2 miles home. the only bad thing is she lecks a little oil. but i dont have to add oil between oil changes.
Favorite Features
The ability to roast the tires to nothing.
Suggested Improvements
Make the waterpump easer to get to.

'97 Formula
Vehicle
1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr Formula Coupe
Review
The car is a beautiful combination of style and performance that turns heads everywhere. Just because it doesn't have the 505 hp found in the Chevy Z06, you will never feel like you need anything else. Never have I found a postion in which I wished for more acceleration or a higher maximum speed. The ride is fairly smooth, but in the automatic form, 3rd gear gets a little bumpy around 4000 rpm, but 4th gear is smoother and more quiet than I've ever experienced in the f-bodys.
Favorite Features
The standard sound system will cover up any noises made by the body of engine inside, which is complemented by a stylish and comfortable front seat. The engine is more enjoyable than any other car of its type, creating a low rumble that makes even the most powerful muscle seem like slow comparisons
Suggested Improvements
The only undesirable effects are the lack of room for back seat passengers, the random noises that are made by the body at random times, and the few minor issues like a tiny oil leak found in most models of this type. Though I have not had any major problems, I find that I will not be likely to.

Bang for the buck
Vehicle
1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr STD Coupe
Review
Few cars match the extrerior styling of this car. It looks almost more expensive then it is. It is fun to drive providing strong acceleration even in the v6 form. The v6 is both strong and economical giving almost 30mpg on the highway. The 3800 series II is a popular engine found on many gm cars and is also reliable
Favorite Features
T-tops are great
Suggested Improvements
The v6 models put the engine very ar back making it hard for the garage tune up or upgrading.

love my car

1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr STD Coupe
Review
all my friends drive the usual herd cars, but this one always gets the looks. Have had it for over 7 years now, and still love this. It stands out in the parking lot, performs really well, except for minor repairs, it works pretty darn fine. Picks up speed fast, and I really like the rocketship feel of the car. Just wish that they had done something about the passenger bump and some more space in the trunk.

T-tops Fast pick-up The exterior layout and looks

1997 Firebird
Vehicle
1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr STD Coupe
Review
My dad bought me this car for my 16th birthday and I love it. It has had some minor problems with the driver window motor and the power steering hose broke. But other than that I have had only standard maintenance on it. With the 3.8 liter v6 it has enough power to keep up with some V8's and has enough power to smoke the tires. I have fun driving it but in rain and snow it is not the best vehicle on the road. My firebird is silver with T-Tops and in the summer is fun to drive overall I believe that for a 16 yr old like me this is the perfect car. and my next car will be a firebird.
Favorite Features
Bucket seats, hatchback, body style, flip up lights, and the t-tops
Suggested Improvements
The driver window on these has a bad motor, bigger back seat, better place for the air filter.
Most Fun I've Ever Had On Four Wheels!
Vehicle
1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr Trans Am Coupe
Review
A 60-something sport touring motorcyclist - I bought my 1997 WS6 in 2000 replacing a ten year old Mustang GT. The WS6 had run out of warranty, so I bought an extension from the GM dealer for just over $1,000. It paid off. In the next four years I had about $3K of work done for free, replacing the Monsoon audio system and rear woofers, and the power window motors. This car is a blast to drive. It corners as if it were on rails, the power lumbar support is excellent, the throttle response is incredible - the exhaust note awesome. The only thing I can liken it to is an XKE V-12 that I once owned. My wife loves the lines - says it reminds her of a Ferrari. It's been a blast!

Best musclecar ever
Vehicle
1997 Pontiac Firebird 2 Dr Trans Am Coupe
Review
I've owned a black '97 Trans Am WS6 for the past year and my experience with it has been great. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and stylish sportscar that is all about having fun driving. The car is solidly built, hugs the road, handles like a dream, and can take off like a bat out of somewhere very hot. I'll NEVER sell this car, and it's the one thing that makes the trip itself half the fun of going someplace.
Favorite Features
Awesome power, beautiful styling (I personally find it more visually appealing than 95% of exotics), flawless handling. Accessible and intuitive control placement.
Suggested Improvements
Better quality materials for the rear end, retractable headlight motors, and interior trim. Stronger reinforcements on the chassis.
