  i recently bought a 91 plymouth voyager le allwheel drive with 134k it runs good and the transmission( 4 speed auto) is fine i have no idea if its been rebuilt or not,the fluid seems to be in good shape a nice red color but i was wanting to change the transmission filter,,,now here is the thing does it take dextron or the atf+4? what about an additive??or maybe should i ...   My van sounded like it was out of gas but in fact it has a half a tank...someone mentioned might be Throttle Position Sensor...I mentione earlier that when i initially tried to start it the gas pedal stuck all the way down and i had to turn it off..but now it wont start (sounds like it out of gas) and I thought I saw smoke coming from the solenoid...what is a ...   Some further info Back to GOODYEAR today-- discovered that coil not putting out proper voltage & 2 cylinders misfiring. After replacing coil & MAP Sensor again still same problem CONCLUSION-- bad computer. Outside badly corroded & electrical harness connection not in great shape either Seems computer is mounted on firewall in such a position as to get constantly soaked in rain or snow What the hell were the design engineers thinking ...   Thanks for the imput!! ORIGINAL FUEL PUMP lasted 13 yrs, 1 mo. 2nd PUMP lasted 16 mos. 3rd PUMP lasted 6 wks. Now 4 wks into 4th PUMP. TODAY, went back to my local GOODYEAR Service Center which has done majority of recent repairs including FUEL PUMP, CAT, SENSORS, etc. They put in NEW IAC MOTOR. Car was fine after repair for most of day NOW SAME DAMN PROBLEM again but ... Read More

  Have you had your fuel pressure checked? Sounds like either a pump failure or filter problem to me.
