My Plymouth Grand Voyager is totally fine for what it is. Mine is a 1995 model, but you would never know it don't know what year it was bought because I beat the heck out of it every day and it seems to run just fine. The only things that had to be replaced are the front when there was an accident and the brakes...the fuel pump is whining now but hey for 132,000 miles that isn't bad and it is quite powerful when you floor it for a mini-van! Oh did remember that the air conditioning was a little bad but got it replaced pretty much for free and the gas gauge is broken...they want $400 for a gas gauge...forget that just remember its little over 210 miles for a full tank.
Looks alright...Runs alright..Overall a nice vehicle also that has had no problems with the transmission.
Other than it being incredibly outdated I would say just a little bit more reliability.
Currently at 106,000 miles. Had to
replace transmission at 100,000. This
is the second Voyager I have owned,
had to replace the transmission on
both. Other repairs normal for it's
age. When working, I like vehicle,
just can't deal with the transmission
Very reliable engine if maintained. I
have the 3.3 liter and have had no
engine problems at all.
Transmission problems on two of these
vans have made me decide never to buy
another Dodge/Plymouth minivan again.
I'm looking at the Honda now.
Also, rear suspension weak, had to add
load leveler shocks to get a better
ride and handling.
135000 miles, just replaced starter,
tranny went out at 100,000 ($1500),
coolant lines to rear heater corroded
out at 90,000. Annoying slight
vibration that has been inherent since
I bought it used with 30K.
Never a drivability or engine
management problem - They should have
the guy who designed the engine
management system work on the rest of
the vehicle - OH, I remember, that
engine is a Mitsubushi.
Transmission is a weak link. All
interior pieces; glove box, hood
release, sunglass holder are cheap and
fell apart very early.
BOUGHT 3 YEARS AGO @ 45000 MILES, USED
UP TWO TRANSMISSIONS , TWO ENGINES ,AND
LOTS OF ROAD CALLS AT NIGHT BECAUSE IT
BROKE DOWN.IAM A MECHANIC AND THIS CAR
IS JUNK.i WILL NEVER BUY I PLYMOUTH OR
DODGE PRODUCT AGAIN.
I purchased this vehicle to use as a
daily driver. After 50kmi/1 yr 4 mo.
the engine has been very reliable and
strong. I do have to add though that
every front end component started
failing at 140kmi. This is very
expensive at about $300/month for the
past 6 months. Also be warned I have a
transmission cooler as well as regular
services and the transmission just let
go @ 157kmi with NO WARNING SIGNS!
-Styling Package: White, Sliver
Cladding, Privacy Glass (always
complimented on it)
-Overall durability and versatility
Why is the seat off-center from the
Stronger transmission... a 5spd would
Rear air/heat could use an adjustment
so it's not just ice or bake.
