A good family sedan

Vehicle: 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LS 4dr Sedan

I bought this car as a daily driver when my Aurora started having major problems. It is a solid family sedan with good accelartion and gas mileage. The fit and finish are excellent, and the car has proven to be very reliable with over 101000 miles at the time of purchase. I lament the death of Oldsmobile as these fine cars were some of the best to come out of GM in recent years.

Vehicle: 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight LS 4dr Sedan

I bought this Olds Eighty-Eight LS certified pre-owned 2 years ago, with 40,000. It has been a great car and I think GM should consider building them again. I just sold the car with 62,000, and had no problems at all during my 2 year ownership. I highly recommend one, especially if you find one that has been pampered.

What's New for 1999

The Eighty-Eight gets two new exterior colors, Champagne and Evergreen, and the LS model gets the option of white-stripe 16-inch tires. Oh, wait. Oldsmobile is celebrating the nameplate's golden anniversary with a special 50th Anniversary Edition Eighty-Eight. It has 16-inch aluminum wheels fitted with 215/65SR blackwalls, a highly contented leather interior package and special badging finished in, what else? Gold.
