took our 2009 xterra in for its first oil change at the local nissan dealer. We had bought it out of town. Drove it home, noticed smoke, I mean a lot of smoke coming out from under the engine. Bought our xterra (off road) 2009 at the end of march for invoice (consumer's report invoice matched) then the $2000 rebate. Don't forget you get taxed on the $2000, whatever your sales tax is. It looks like invoice for SE, 4x4, Tech and XGear package is $28,400 invoice, before $2000 rebate. So yes, $26,355. That still seems really high and only about $4k off since list is around $30k. I read people were getting $10k off last year.... Anyone get something similar on 2009s yet? There has to be other incentives...Nissan reported sales were down 33% in May ... Read More...

I don't think Nissan has re-engineered the clutch. It's a weird situation, where some owners of Frontiers and Xterras have had no trouble and others have. I drive an '06 Frontier 6-Speed and have had no trouble with my clutch, but I have only 20,000 Miles on it. Read More...

Hi Zach. If you are set on leasing your next vehicle, then the Xterra is definitely not for you. Nissan is not currently providing any lease support on the 2009 Xterra. As a result, if you were to lease one through Nissan Motor acceptance Corp. right now you would have to use its standard lease money factor. Thank you for your responses ! I live near Nissan Peacock and those two 2009 xterras they have are 2008 models actually ! Not sure about other dealerships (will call them), but Robbins Nissan, another dealer in my area, don't have 2009 xterras either.. weird, when a new model is released dealerships usually have tons of them.. never seen it on the streets as well. ...
