Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa
Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [bendupre]
So what we all have then is a Nissan Altima with -a choppier, noisier (esp freeway) ride -more upright and 'sporty' seating position -better city mileage but slightly worse highway mileage -less lateral room but potentially just as safe (5 star side impact rating) -less overall cargo+rear seat length -a hatch that one doesn't look rediculous stuffing a bike ... No I didnt know that until I looked at it.. Intereting, I wonder why that is... Since the governement goes by the interior size to determin what class the cars go in.. Tony Read More...

Funny. I know you are correct about this being a B platform car, but did you notice on your window sticker in the fuel economy section it says you should compare to other MIDSIZE cars? Ben Read More...
Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [acarguy1]
The reason why the Versa is compared to the FIT and YARIS is they are all Sub-Combacts and thier entry level cars. Granted the Versa is larger inside then either of the other cars, but they are all sub-compacts. Tony Read More...
Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [KarenS]
There are several aspects of this test I cannot agree with. While the tester compares this car to the Fit or the Yaris, it is actually better compared to the Civic or the Mazda three. Firstly, the ride on this car is MUCH quieter and better than the Civic or the M3, it is amazing how much sound-deadening insulation is in the trunk and hood. You can't even hear the car ... Nissan Versa Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Re: Nissan Versa: Prices Paid & Buying Experience [oregone]
Wanted to way in on my experience. Just bought the 2007 Versa SL, CVT transmission, with convenience package and I am thrilled to death with it. Over last several days, I test drove 11 cars from several different dealers and makers. (I actually really dug the Mazda3, but I didn't like the handling much on some turns and how it handled bumps, and the sales guy I dealt ... Read More...
Bad deal on a Versa SL? :(
In retrospect, I think what I *thought* was a good deal on the new 2007 Nissan SL (CVT) I just bought is not such a good deal. Hopefully one of you knowledgeable souls here can help me :) I did my homework (so I thought!) Been researching cars for the last 3 months (all makes/models/leasing versing buying) online. Am leery as I'm the type to keep a car at least 9 years ... Read More...
Re: versa mpg? [rennie4]
do you think it is odd that a versa 1.8 6-speed manual has a highway rating of 34mpg and the 2007 2.5 altima is 35mpg? Nissan should have just put the new 2.5 in the versa. Combined with less weight on the versa. it would have posted probably 37 highway Read More...
Re: SL,CVT 1750 miles [tab00]
Tab00, It went something like this: I am writing to let you know about my disappointment in my 2007 Nissan Versa purchase. I have used 3 full tanks of gas and am only averaging 24.5 MPG. This is a far cry from what you put on the sticker (30/36) and is totally unacceptable. The majority of my driving has been city driving with the AC on. I am not an aggressive driver in ... Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa
Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [KarenS]
Re. the 'full-test' by Karen, I think the whole idea of "pounding through the gears" and testing a little grocery getter like the new Versa "running canyons", makes no sense whatsoever and does a great deal of damage to the new vehicles fragile reputation. Come on folks, test drive this car in the CVT powertrain. It's the way cars will all be designed in the future. ... Read More...
