Nissan Versa

I'm in Shock - I Just Bought My Second New Car in Two Weeks!

Two weeks ago I had a 2007 Dodge Caliber 1.8 5 speed (SE with aircon) and a 2006 Chevy Impala LS. 14,000 miles on the Impala and 22,000 on the Caliber. Anyway as much as I liked having the Impala (my wife gave it to me after she got an Odyssey) it seemed awfully big. And although the 26 mpg I was getting on the Impala on my work commute seemed incredible, given it is an automatic ... Read More...

Nissan Versa Engine Problems

Re: Nissan Versa: Engine start problem [bibik]

I know that this is over a year later, but I have recently been having the same problem starting up. It doesn't have all of the time, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get it to start. My dad wants me to take it to the Nissan dealership, but I am not so sure that they could help now. I got my Versa in October 2007 and didn't have one problem until last month or so. I ... Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa

Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [longo2]

I'd have to go back and read it again but I think he bought new and liked that the car was under 20k DOLLARS. My reaction when I first read it was the same as yours but a second look suggested to me that 20k referred to price. If that's the case the guy put 80k miles on it and that just adds more to the impression that he did a lot of driving for a year by any standard. 80k miles ... Read More...

Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [zombietom3]

So here's his story....this guy bought a used 2007 Versa with about 20,000 miles, and at the end of the same year, he has put another 60,000 miles on it? That is not impossible of course but that means that his Versa rolls up over 6600 miles a month, or 222 miles a day 7 days a week. I guess it's out of warranty. Read More...

Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [tat2zbyq]

Please provide more details. How many miles on the vehicle. Was it purchased from a US dealer new with warranty? Under what kind of conditions has the car been driven, stored, and maintained? Do you have records for all recommended service since purchase? What were the precise circumstances of the failure and why is it not covered under warranty? Thanks in advance ... Read More...

Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [tat2zbyq]

Is your Versa out of warranty? Are you already 'miled out' after only one year? I would think that the 5 year powertrain coverage would include any problems with the CVT. From what I read on this post , you are saying you are going to be charged $5,000 to repair the CVT on a one year old Versa? Did you bring it in with a roll bar, nitros bottle and drag slicks on the front? ... Read More...

Re: Inside Line-Full Test: 2007 Nissan Versa [longo32]

Nissan Versa Real World MPG

Re: Miles per gallon [buckssis]

I have a 2007 red Nissan Versa S with about 2500 miles on it. Purchased in August 2006. My last couple of fill ups have averaged a whopping 15 mpg. I am now dealing with Nissan and the dealership I bought my car from has it again to check mileage. Nissan says they have never had any complaints. Has anyone else ever contacted Nissan direct regarding there mileage? I drive ... Read More...
