Nice Versa
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
Review
Considering 2008 versa 1.8S and 2008 Hyundai elantra SE, purchased 1.8SL from very nice private party for a good deal, however it came with new car smell. It had just front ABS, however brake was good. Roomy back seat. A bit noisy on windy day. The noise also has to do with the type of hard tire for better MPG. Soft tire would reduce tire noise for less MPG. I need to adjust my driving habit to handle small engine for better mileage and durability. Good handling and adequate power (not ample power) on highway for 70-80 mph cruise w/3 adults. Passing trucks on highway was ok. Did not feel dangerous. Not tested for any rain or snow condition yet. Better than Honda Fit.
Favorite Features
Overall nice design and trim for its class. Good handling and performance. Reliability not enough driving so far to tell.
Suggested Improvements
Trip computer, truck net, home link system. larger rear view mirror, bottle/cup holder is little bit far from the driver position. Reduce noise level. Longer warranty. Would feel safer with temp gauge. Speedometer dial needs better design for easy reading, hump on cargo space.

Nissan Can't Determine Cause of Problem
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
Review
I've owned my Versa for almost 1 1/2 years and my problems began almost immediately. During cold weather the car will occasionally start in safe mode where no gas goes to the engine. The car will only drive 20 KM/hr. Another problem is that the engine will begin to race and rev higher than normal and the car will speed up on its own. I love so much about the car but could really do without the problems no one seems able to fix.
Favorite Features
Adjustable seat so I sit high. Spacious interior. Peppy engine. Comfortable seats. Hatchback design.
Suggested Improvements
Better gas mileage. Find a cause for all my problems!

Suspension
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
Review
The second week took it back for alignment and tail light assembly. Third month replaced l/f strut. Now tires are cracking. Bumpy ride, dealer says it is normal. The car is too high, hard to control on a highway in wind. Try to pass on a highway, you hear the engine too loud and take a will to get to the next gear. I was ok buying used nissan. Now I spend more time in the shop than on the road. Bought it for my wife,I wish I hadn't. Have a car problem and a wife problem. Gas mileage is decent but not worth the hassle.I should have bought something else. Hard to imagine keeping his for few more years. Hope this is helpful.
Favorite Features
Keyless start, blue tooth, cd player.
Suggested Improvements
New improved suspension. Better aerodyanic style. Better transmission torque.

36 MPG!? HA!
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
Review
I have had this car for 8 months now and am averaging 24 MPG! Most of my travel is highway so I would expect much better mileage than that. I've already had to have the fuel pump and O2 sensor replaced at the dealership after the check engine light came on. And the interior starting making rattling noises 2 months after owning the vehicle. The ride is pretty comfortable, but the seats can get pretty uncomfortable after a few hours driving. The biggest problem I have with this car is the horrible fuel mileage I'm getting. I bought this car to save gas mileage, not get the same as my '96 Nissan Maxima or my '05 Toyota Sienna.
Favorite Features
Big space for small car. Six disc changer is nice. MP3 jack. Roomy in back seat for a small car.
Suggested Improvements
GAS MILEAGE! All the little rattling noises. Seat comfort (lumbar support).

Would buy it again!
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 S 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I have had my 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback S for a little over half a year now and if I had to do it over I'd buy it again. Have been very impressed with the car and would recommend it highly. I also investigated the Honda Fit, Chevy Cobalt, Saturn Ion and just felt that the Versa represented the best value for the money. I just love that it is an "economy car" that doesn't look economy. The value of the interior space cannot be overstated. I have an infant carseat in the back and my wife can still sit comfortable in front passenger's seat. It isn't the sexiest car on the road, but it does the job well.
Favorite Features
Interior looks great, does not feel nor look like a car in this price point. Seats very comfortable. Cargo area holds quite a bit. Stock stereo system is quite good. Huge glove box and door pockets hold quite a bit. Short front and rear overhangs make parking and maneuvering very easy.
Suggested Improvements
Front and rear armrests standard on S model would be great. Front cupholders are little far away from the driver's position, and can be hard to remove a larger cup with the gear shift and the bottom of the dash in the way. Cargo area cover "squeaks", gets annoying.

A car that's worth more than the price
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 S 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 4A)
Review
This is my very first car. For the price, this car has got everything. I had the car for about 10 month now and no problem so far. Smooth and quick corners, the car is very roomy both front, back, and trunk. Fuel economy is very good. Overall, it is worth more than the price :)
Favorite Features
Foldable side-mirrors, roomy trunk.
Suggested Improvements
No mirror on the driver's visor (or is it just me?). Seating is not comfortable.

I love my Versa, and my daughter does too
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
Review
I was hoping for 36 mpg, but I consistently get 33-34. I can't complain. The defroster leaves something to be desired and the air conditioning doesn't cool the back seats well. Otherwise; it is fun to drive, peppy, easy on the eyes both inside and out,and good in the snow. When this car wears out I will get another.
Favorite Features
The roomy interior is great! The gas milage is good. The hands-free phone is better than sliced bread.
Suggested Improvements
The air conditioner and the defroster need some improvement. I hope that my next one has fog lights. Heated side mirrors would be a nice addition also.

Pretty good car
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 S 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl 4A)
Review
Lease since Sept 2007. Car is good, roomy enough, no arm rest which was terrible, had to buy one online. No power at all though, put foot completely down on pedal with the AC on, has no pickup at all. Must be careful passing people, make sure you have 50 free car lengths before you do. But car is dependable so far, stereo ok, look is cute, rides good.
Favorite Features
Funny exterior look, gas mileage great.
Suggested Improvements
More power. Better quality sunvisors.

Much more than meets the eye
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 S 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl 4A)
Review
I bought it 10 months ago mainly because I liked the extremely roomy interior and it was a great value for the price. Overall I've liked it, it's been good basic transportation with no major faults. It now has over 15k miles on it and still holding up well. Fuel economy has been decent. We get about 400 miles per tank on the highway, 320ish per tank with just in-town driving. Ride and handling are good, road noise noticeable but not terrible. I dont think it's as stylish as a VW Golf/Rabbit or the upcoming '09 Fit, but it's not bad looking either. Beware that the price can go from reasonable to expensive with options.
Favorite Features
Great handling in the snow. Very comfortable/high quality seat fabric. High end interior. LOTS of cupholders (yet I still find a way to use them all). This car is super roomy - much more room all around than the FJ Cruiser suv it replaced. High safety ratings are impressive.
Suggested Improvements
4 speed auto is slow to shift and is noisy. Engine is sluggish (but I concede that it's an automatic economy car, not a hot rod). Needs a center arm rest for the driver. Seat fabric is great, but the seats can be unsupportive and uncomfortable. Rear seats that fold flat would be nice.

Queen of the castle
Vehicle
2007 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl 6M)
Review
I used to drive an Infiniti G35 coupe wich is very expensive on maintenance, tires and gas. I made a compromise with my wife that with a cheaper car we would travel twice a year instead of 1. I changed my coupe for the versa SL hatchback 6 speeds with convenience, sound and sport package and my surprise is that ok I must admit that I miss the power of the G35 coupe but overhall I am pretty satisfied with my Versa and find it surprisingly fun to drive. And let me tell you that for the gas, brake and tires maintenance it is day and night hehe!! Also the interior is really big and the place in the back too!!! So leaving soon for 3 weeks in the Bahamas at Staniel Key's Island :)
