Best vehicle I ever have owned
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB
Review
I have owned over 12 vehicles, Ford, GM, Dodge, Honda and a newer Nissan. However this 93 truck is the most reliable one of the bunch. It has been in 3 accidents, driven over 170K miles and I have put in under $1,000 in overall maintenance costs to include oil & tires. I would buy one if looking for solid transportation.

Great Truck
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB
Review
This is by far the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I purchased the truck new in 1992 and I'm still driving it almost every day. It is now 15 years old and has 252,000 miles on it. Most important is that, except for the paint, it is in original condition. By that I mean that there has been no engine or other drive train work done on it. It still has the original upholstery (no worn out spots in it), muffler, air conditioner and even shocks. Maintenance has been limited to consumables like oil, filters, hoses, brake pads, etc.
Favorite Features
Simplicity. There are no bells and whistles on this truck that are subject to break or fail.
Suggested Improvements
I don't know how this truck could be improved. I've owned several other larger, prettier, and more powerful vehicles during the period I've been driving this truck. None have provided equal service.

Love this Truck!
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr SE V6 4WD Extended Cab SB
Review
I have had many cars and trucks but I really just like driving my Nissan. It has been a very dependable and reliable friend over the years. It's outlasted two wifes! Great engine, excellent build quality, fantastic off road capability, comfortable seats and overall a nice looking rig. Highly recommended. The bed is 6'8", longer than most. If you put a top on it you can sleep in back easily making weekend trips to the beach or mountains fun and economical. Try it, you'll like it!
Favorite Features
Excellent 4x4 capability takes me anywhere, safely and reliably. Nothing stops my Nissan. I love to drive it in snow storms. Great suspension, good low end torque, low gear transfer case and full locking axle up front. Indestructible engine. No rattles or squeaks after 15 years.

Could've put a cup holder inside! Its ok, I bought an aftermarket center console at walmart for $20 that fit right in and has four cup holders. A bit better mileage would also be welcome. It's decent at 15-18 overall, but wish it were more like 25 or so.

200k and still kicking

I have over 200k on my nissan and it still runs great, doesn't use a drop of oil, and have never had to do any serious repairs. It gets excellent highway gas mileage (23 MPG) and is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I'll never buy any truck other than a Nissan again!

Reliability, fuel economy, fun to drive

Impressive little truck
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB
Review
Since I have purchased this vehicle I have been delightfully impressed on how easy it is to work. It was in really poor condition when I got it from an auction sale, but I have put over $600 into the vehicle doing most of the work myself. It is a very easy vehicle to work on. There is a pesky oil leak that I am trying to track down, it sputters on acceleration which swapping out the injectors should fix that problem. I was suprised to find that after a recharge of the AC system that it works just fine. Otherwise it's fun to drive.

Easy to work on.

Great Truck-Treated me well

The biggest issue with this truck was a timing chain tensioner, which they had a service bulletin for, and isn't that hard to replace. Otherwise, the truck has performed GREAT!

My used Nissan Truck
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr STD 4WD Extended Cab SB
Review
I bought my 1993 Nissan King Cab Pickup with 94,000 miles on it and it now has 152,000. I have the 4-cylinder / 5 speed combo and feel the power to weight ratio on the 4WD is not good enough. The additional transfer case weight, suspension, slighly bigger tires absolutely rob this motor of power. A small truck such as this should get 17 - 18 MPG, not 14 - 15. It does have reliability and true toughness on back roads, so camping is a non-issue. I am pleasantly suprised about where it can go. It does boast a thicker / heavier frame than a Toyota. However, buy the Toyota. A cheaper Nissan is NOT the answer. If you are looking at trucks, and are afraid to spend the extra money up front cost on a a Toyota, buy one anyway.
Favorite Features
This truck with proper shocks / tires is indeed just plain tough!
Suggested Improvements
More power from the 4-cylinder engine.

Pretty Good
Vehicle
1993 Nissan Truck 2 Dr STD Standard Cab SB
Review
Overall I am very happy with the reliability and performance. It has been over 10 years, and I have not had any major problems. I merely change the oil, fluids and filters when scheduled. I get 28 miles per gallon even now.

Suggested Improvements
The tailgate retains water inside when it rains, which causes rusting from the inside out - no adequate drainage.
