Tire sensors/check engine soon
Vehicle
2005 Nissan Titan 4dr King Cab LE Rwd SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Just purchased / truck rides extremely well. Was surprised. Only problem with this truck is the tire sensors, if you change the tires you have to reset to have the light go out on dash. Mine is still lit. Another way to make you bring to dealership. Also engine service light comes on & stays on don't know why. Asked dealership people, they were mesmerized. I will write another review after I find out what is going on with these sensor lights?
Favorite Features
Engine /quick pick up / comfortable seating / great body integrity
Suggested Improvements
Cab a little noisy (need to get the kinks out of electrical problems)!
Titan doesn't live up to its name

Review
We purchased the truck new in 05. Currently we have 52,000 miles on it. The truck has plenty of power with the trade off being mileage. We see an average of just over twelve. We have gotten 18 on premium and 8 on E85. The truck has been plagued with both minor and major problems. Minor being tire pressure sensors leaking or needing recalibration and back up sensors. Major being brakes, replaced front differential which took Nissan 2weeks, Fuel tank pressure sensor, and a fuel mixture sensor. Overall it is an O.K. truck but for real work I would prefer a Ford or Chevy. It is a sweet ride coming off the lot and in town but that is as far as you can take it.
Favorite Features
We like the interior. It has ample room and with the folding rear seats I was surprised how much we could fit in the cabin. The power makes it a fun vehicle to drive and I thought it handled good.
Suggested Improvements
Either beef up the extras or get rid of them. Having a rear sensor out does not affect the reliability but is very annoying same with the pressure sensors (I own a tire gauge thank you). Overall durability is what this truck needs, unless your a soccer mom.

V8 Power!
Vehicle
2005 Nissan Titan 4dr Crew Cab SE 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
When considering this vehicle, the V8 32 valve engine is what convinced me - not to mention the utility of it. I've put 62,000 miles on it. Love the torque power but have dealt with too much inconsistent quality issues that im considering trading it in. Some of the failures of it were poor brakes (9,000 miles started to shimmy. Dealer repaired it. Not to mention I learned how to repair my brakes afterwards), electrical wiring to a/c blower failed. Door locks froze badly, dealer recall. Differential oil would leak on inner wheel, something not all dealers willing to repair esp. if warranty is up. Gas mpg not accurate to sticker. Ave 12-14. And that's with babying it.
Favorite Features
Style. Ample torque. Fun to drive. Learned a lot from all the repairs needed on the truck, not just wear and tear.
Suggested Improvements
I realize all vehicles have their inconsistencies but Nissan could have had a winner in this truck if they followed up on their quality feedback on 2004. Diff trans prob. continues even up to there 07 models.

Fantastic Cheap Work Truck
Vehicle
2005 Nissan Titan 4dr King Cab XE 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Bought the Titan to travel to the great white north country and needed 4WD. easy to operate the 4x4 and I drive 800 miles at a stretch. The gas mileage at 80 mph is generally between 18-20 mpg, excellent for a big V-8. Nice exhaust note! The brakes were an issue, but covered under warranty. Had a rear wheel bearing leak after 3yr warranty expired, covered under the 5yr 60K drivetrain warranty. Excellent warranty coverage by Nissan! The sheet metal is a little soft and dents easily. Still running the original tires at almost 40K on a 4x4 - unbelievable!! All around excellent truck, even in the XE no frills package.
Favorite Features
Steering wheel controls, 6 CD dash player.
Suggested Improvements
The XE needs power windows and door locks. Otherwise and excellent truck.

Review
Great handling truck. Have had it 120 mph on the interstate to pass a few 18 wheelers and had to do a real hard left to not hit the back of another 18 wheeler and on a 2 lane interstate - well I never had to worrry about rolling it or losing it. It just stuck to the road, and with the Goodyear SRA oem tire - go figure. Could have done a better job on the brakes for sure.
Favorite Features
With the shifter on the console and the ability to down shif and punch the throttle at the same time - rocket ship like response. The truck just goooeeesss.
Suggested Improvements
The brakes for sure and the fact that Nissan says the use a synthetic transmission fluid - pure BS. A true synthetic would last at or near 50,000 miles or more like 100,000. Todays synthetic technology is way better than what they are using, way better.

Review
The power and luxury combination of the Titan is unparallaled. The other major brands can not compete. The motor is solid. The frame is rigid, still handles great and is quiet in the cab. I like the sprayed in bed liner and the utility tie down tracks and the tailgate damper. The power outlet in the bed is also a great idea. The downfalls to this truck are the undersized brakes. It tends to warp rotors in about 20000 miles. I am also less than impressed with the tires and rims. The alloy rims have been a constant problem as of late due to the fact that the air is slowly leaking out around the bead of the tire. They should offer steel rims.
Favorite Features
The stereo is amazing. The steering wheel controls are also great. The motor is fierce and it is a solid work truck.
Suggested Improvements
They should increase the size of the brake rotors so they don't overheat and warp. They should also offer steel rims,as opposed to the alloys that constantly leak. The tires could use a slightly more aggressive tread.

Review
We have had this truck almost 3 years. We have had chevy, ford and the original nissan smaller pick-ups. We bought it due to our experience with Nissan reliability and to replace a mini van. We bought the crew cab due to have 4 man-sized teenage boys. All 6 of us fix VERY comfortably. The back seating are is large with a lot of leg room. We have over 75k miles and not a single problem thus far! Of course, gas mileage is always an issue with vehicles like this
Favorite Features
Interior cabin size and comfort.
Suggested Improvements
Hybrid, maybe even a diesel model would be great!

Just bought this truck and love it. Plenty of power no need to slam on the gas a small nudge gives you all that you need. Surprisingly quick acceleration for such a large truck. The most comfortable seats that I have ever had in any automobile that I have owned.
Favorite Features
Easy to operate 4x4, strong engine, good on gas for the size, great interior.
Suggested Improvements
Shifter is too long to easly operate the radio.
My big gas hog! But I love it!

I bought my Titan as a close out from 05. I drove it for 18k when the brakes went bad (total replacement, rotors, calipers, pads, etc.), a silent recall. I pull a 23' cargo trailer daily - seems to do its job well. I ran for a year without trailer lights because no one could figure out what was wrong, finally it was a crimp in the rear door wiring harness (a recall that WASN'T posted). Tires were replaced at 28. Gas mileage is poor, unloaded at best 12-14. I love this pickup over all, I find it to have a great stance, powerful engine and really does a great job pulling the trailer and 30' pontoon. Just wished it had better brakes and a few other thing
Favorite Features
Love the styling, tough looks, plenty of power.
Suggested Improvements
POOR BRAKES! Doors are a little sloppy (king cab), poor mpg.

Review
This is the second time writing on this truck. Still truly awesome. This truck surpasses anything I ever dreamed about. Fun to drive, fast, dependable and looks great. I'll consider another one if I decide to get one, love this one too much, but leasing it and may consider another lease for business.
Favorite Features
Engine and looks.
Suggested Improvements
Better OEM tires. Have 37,000 on tires and need to replace with new ones already. Engine has so much power spin tires when wet. A little light in rear end.
