2005 Nissan Titan 4dr King Cab SE 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
I'm not someone who bought this truck a month ago and is about to gush about it's reliability (what's with those reviewers anyway?)
Purchased this truck 3.5 years ago, have put 50k KM mountain town driving on it. Only issue I've run in to is warping brake rotors, easily solved with HD brakes. The paint is nothing to phone home about, but definitely not sub par.
Hauls a sled like it's not even there and shreds the highway between Whis and Van as fast as you'd ever want to.
Expected a lot, and it has exceeded my expectations.
Design/Layout are my favorite as well. 6'6" box is awesome, but cab is still very spacious and overall truck is very nimble.
America still makes a great truck.
HP and Torque are great, they're not monster numbers compared to something like a 1/2 tonne Tundra, but then the curb weight is far more reasonable as well. As far as a full size truck for adventures is concerned, I'm not sure there's one better.. if you don't want a full-size then maybe a Tacoma (if you have the $$)
Truck layout/design is so well done. Huge cab space, huge bed space, and still a short wheel base, maneuverable, agile, and city friendly.
Could be more fuel efficient.. but what truck couldn't?
Paint could be slightly more bombproof. Wheel wells that accomodate a 35" tire without a lift or body work would be really nice.
An engine bay that makes getting under the hood a little more feasible.. but that's a trade off for the cab space.
If you're into performance, I've been really pleased with my magnaflow cat back. Nice little boost and killer sound.
