I switched to ceramic pads from NAPA at about 300 miles as the stock pads creating black dust drove me crazy. It's been 49K miles since installing those ceramics and they still look like new. I have never had any warping of the rotors nor vibrations while braking. Nissan should've installed ceramic pads from the start. Would've solved all their warping problems. 2005 Titan Crewcab.
I have a titan truck 2004 and let me tell you I had my share of warp rotors, front and rear, mainly fronts, Nissan covered me up to 75,000 miles and now on my own, so I did alot of research on brakes and bought the slotted/ dimpled rotors for the front and rear, and semi metallic pads, I only have 200 miles right now on these rotors so time will ... If he is, the Nissan did it's job engineering the structure of the truck. Frontier is SOLID. Nissan went above and beyond what is required and needed when they engineered the 2005 Frontier. The frame is fully boxed and based off of the frame used in the Titan full sized truck. Does Nissan have structural integrity issues? No. Vehicles are designed to "total" the vehicle, not the humans when they are ... Read More

Does anyone have an idea when there will be incentives and rebates on the 2005's and what they may be?
I everyone! Well I am in the market for a new truck and I need some advice. I just recieved a quote for a 2004 Titan LE Crew Cab 4x2 completely loaded with leather, moonroof, DVD, bed extender, etc (Except No Navigation). Sticker is $36,480. I was quoted $30,000 even after rebate. And in California, $33,000 out the door after all taxes, licesne, etc. I think this is a decent deal however ... Read More
Yeah, I have seen that truck and it gets terrible gas mileage. I think it has 500 horsepower. It's definitely a truck meant for speed. You won't get much hauling out of it. Really when do you actually get to used that much power unless you drive on the Audobon. Ford lightning is considered quite the sports truck. I wonder if nissan will produce one. I think I saw a 2005 ... Read More
does anyone have any idea if nissan will offer cash back or special financing when the new 2005 titans arrive in lots?
What's the big deal picking on the people from Canton? This is a first year plant producing five different new vehicles. F150 is a really good truck built by some experience crews. It should have the highest dependability rating. The Nissan Titan will be the best truck by people in the state of Mississippi. Nissan Titan will have that rating of highest dependability soon enough. Ford should just enjoy the moment ... Read More
i dont think there will be a defined line where quality is improved. its a gradual thing. i would recommend grabbing a late-production '04 and taking the incentives. Definitely DO NOT buy Titans that were built in or before May, '04, if you are concerned about initial qualities. Nissan sent in the "S.W.A.T." team in May. Ghosn is fixing the Canton debacle in his characteristic fashion -- that is, with the ... Read More
I am considering both the Titan and F150 Lariat. Would like to know if anyone might have the date for the '05 Titan's to hit the dealer. I understand there are some improvements on the '05 and that some of the quality control issues Nissan has had have been addressed. Love the Ford interior, but really enjoy driving the Titan.
The rebates are still at $1,500 til end of September. I guess we'll have to wait and see if Nissan ups the rebate in October.
Friday, July 30, 2004 Nissan says quality crusade is yielding positive results AutoWeek.com TOKYO -- Nissan Motor Co. says it has redesigned hundreds of parts in vehicles built at its new Canton, Miss., plant in an effort to fix quality problems. About 200 Japanese engineers descended on the plant in May after three models built there fared poorly in the latest J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study. "We redesigned every ... Good News. I just read an article in Automotive News. Says that the Nissan engineering team redesigned and made design notes to suppliers regarding 200 parts in the Quest/Titan/Armada. They addressed issues such as squeaking windows/windshields/doors, poor AC operation, and other common complaints. All of the changes are to be implemented in 2005 models in an effort to increase the JD Powers new car survey results. He went on to say ... Read More
I believe Motor Trend has more weight on the decision on the No. 1 truck, than Edmunds. The redesigned Ford F-150 earned the top spot as the most popular pickup with shoppers on MSN Autos for the second quarter of 2004. The F-150 was also the fifth most popular vehicle overall for the same time period. The Toyota Tacoma, a consistently popular compact pickup, was second with shoppers for the second ... Read More
I think Nissan built a pretty good truck for the first year. Ford seemed to have built a prettier truck. I'm looking forward to the 2005 Titan. I'm wondering how much of an improvement will Missan have made with the 2005. Will everybody be complaining about the same problems with the 2005 model? Imports seem to always have a habit of making the domestics improve the products. I wonder if Ford ... Read More
I like the Titan, I may replace my 2000 Siverado with a 2005 Titan next year. Hopefully Nissan wil have many of the engineering issues corrected Leg room issues with Ford & chevy. I also own a 2001 Super crew F-150 that my wife drives. It has more room in the back seat area than my Silverado x-tra cab

Just purchased a Titan King Cab SE with Popular package with PWR captain, Bedliner, Carpets, and Mudflaps (in Smoke color) from Nissan of Elk Grove for $23,800 + $1,000 rebate (applied after taxes and fees). Out the door price with TTL, Lic, fees, and rebate was about $25,100. I'm very pleased with this truck and deal. It's about $300 hundred under invoice, so that was perfect for me (although I'm sure ... Read More
i can't wait to buy a titan, but i'm wondering if i should wait for the 2005 models. the reason i'm doing this, is because i'm hoping that nissan will come out with a decent blue paint for the titan. "deep water blue" is a little on the greenish side for my tastes. does anyone know if nissan is planning on changing some of their colors? i would hate to wait ... Read More
