Vehicle2013 Nissan Sentra SV 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl CVT)
ReviewHaving driven it for 1,400 miles I still feel it's a great value. LIKES: The int/ext styling is nice and Nissan used high quality materials; rear legroom & trunk space is outstanding; great gas mileage; bluetooth/USB/AUX; XM radio; Auto headlights; quiet ride on highway; lit kickplates. DISLIKES: Underpowered (feel like I'm gassing it more than I would expect to); small gas tank (Averaging around 300-330miles per tank); lack of storage compartments & center console is too far back for arm rest; can't extend steering wheel out as much causing awkward driving posture; driver seat should be more comfortable with lumbar adjustment; loud engine when accelarating; no maintenance reminder.

Great review and on spot. As a 2013 SL owner I whole heatedly agree with the comments. There is no maintenance reminder, and personally I'm glad! In short, I hate the way the car handles in city/stop and go traffic. Too unpredictable. One way to circumvent a problem is keep the car in "SPORT" mode so the CVT is more sensitive to your foot. It's the only way to get consistent power in a turn. Once on the highway, the CVT runs great, but trying to merge into heavy traffic, turning at a light or stop sign and it's quite frightening because you never know what the hell the car will do. If you gas it too much, you go into a turn with too much speed. Not enough gas and the RPM's will start out ok but as you complete the turn the CVT goes sluggish and the RPM's drop. You have to once again give it a good push of the throttle to get back up to speed. This is NOT SAFE if you are trying to turn at a stop sign in heavy traffic. Never again, I'll avoid CVT's in the future. Nothing beats a conventional automatic, MPG be damned. CVT's are NOT good in gasoline engines; they work best in Hybrid vehicles as they were designed for.Report it

Are you sure there is no maintenance reminder? My cheaper 2012 Nissan Versa has one. It's programmable and displays distance until next oil change when you start the car. You might want to check this on your Sentra.Report it
