Since you provided your personal experience, I'll provide mine: 2001 Elantra GLS, purchased new in October 2000, sold to my sister five years ago. Still going strong, about 80k miles, no major work except regular maintenance and a clutch replacement after my wife and son worked together to destroy it six years ago. 2004 Elantra GT, purchased new in March 2004, 61k miles, still drives like new (60k service increased the ... • bought 2009 Nissan Sentra S CVT $12554

    Written by: crh3 on Jun 19, 2009 3:25:30 PM

Last Sunday, I bot a Nissan Sentra S CVT for $12554 (after $3000 regular rebate and $500 college graduate rebate). OTD with CA TTL on $16054 is $14380, with 6.9% 60mon NMAC financing (I would pay it off right after the rebate is posted to my account, so rate does not matter). The original MSRP of the car with floor mat and mud guard is $18,760. The car has 31 miles ... Read More

Since this happens every time you drive on the freeway, I recommend you take someone with you with a video camera and they can record the swerving as it happens. Then send the video to Nissan and to the NHTSA--and let Nissan know you have sent it to the NHTSA and asked them to open an investigation. You should call Nissan's customer support number and tell them you are sending them ... Read More

I just bought a 2010 Nissan Sentra from Hertz Rent2Buy. I'm very happy with it overall, but it came with a basic stereo with no bluetooth or navigation. Is it possible to purchase the Nissan Nav system somewhere to upgrade it? If not and I go with an aftermarket unit is there anything special I should know? For example I know in the 2009 Sentra the stereo ran the trip computer ... Read More

Same on my 2008 Sentra 2.0S CVT. The suspension is a bit stiff (do not feel bumps) but that's fine cause I drive on interstate mainly. Acceleration is less sensitive than on other cars. Love the CVT gearbox.

I also have a 2009 sentra and it pulls to the left at highway speeds. If you let go of the steering wheel or are distracted for a moment, the vehicle quickly veers to the left. Dealer mechanic said it has a problem, dealer general manager said it has a problem, but the dealer service manager claims it is normal for this model to pull to the left or right and ... Read More

The mechanic took some air out of the tires (which were slightly over inflated) but we stlll get a VERY rough ride over bumps. And you can get them on a Canadian spec '08 Sentra, but not here in the U.S. Is anyone from Nissan USA listening? This feature is needed for northern U.S. and mountain west locations. I test drove both. Preferred the Sentra. A more comfortable ride due to the "ripple control" shocks/struts. Seats were also more comfortable than Civic. Driving position I thought was better, more of a taller riding position. Fuel efficiency is slightly better with Civic according to EPA. Resale value would also be better with Civic than with Sentra. However, neither vehicle yet offers VSC for 2008 models. Rest of it really is ... Read More

I just got back from the Toronto Int'l Auto Show recently. The '07 Nissan Sentra there comes with heated power outside mirrors. This is on the S and SL models, standard.
