Vehicle2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6M)
Review'03 Spec w/ 8k mi. What it has
that its competitors do not are 1)
torque 2)limited slip differential, 3)
4 doors. Hands down best value
under $19k (fully loaded).
Car has great feel to it. Bolstered
seats, leather wrapped steering wheel,
sweet shift knob. Red-lit dash great
Car is all-round performer. Tuned
suspension and LSD enable it to handle
with the best. 2 words: Canyon
Gear ratios perfect for accel,
although the Spec kinda drags (lots of
wind noise too) beyond 115 mph. 6th
gear short = rather high rpm (3100?)
at 85 = bad on gas.
Easy to launch, can lay down rubber in
2nd and 3rd. Decent aftermarket,
for NA or FI.
Best Features-Engine sound and smoothness -Trunk release switch on dash -300 watt System (9 speakers) -Fold down rear seat knob in trunk -Perfect gear ratios ('03,'04) -SER Badges -Torque -LSD -Handling -Interior ('03) Cons: -very precise gearbox, so you'll occasionally miss-shift
Worst FeaturesMore CONS: -No mashing gas while taking hair-pin, or torque steer takes over..seriously.. -paint chips easily -not designed for heel-toe -annoying ECU recall -antennae -cell charger makes turn signals blink fast -headlights don't turn off auto -weak AC -turning radius -stock tails
