Filled 40% of fuel tank with E85 by mistake in 1999 Nissan Sentra

Re: Filled 40% of fuel tank with E85 by mistake in 1999 Nissan Sentra [sai2000]

I don't think a 1/2 tank of e85 will ruin your car, but it may run terrible (if at all) for that tank of gas. Read More...

Toyota Corolla XRS vs Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V vs Mazda3

Re: 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS vs 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V [pat]

I haven't done any research on the pros/cons of each. I have taken a test drive in the Corolla XRS and it was very impressive in my opinion. I think the Spec V might have slightly better acceleration based upon published numbers. I was ready to buy the XRS right away, however, I didn't get the trade in value that I was hoping for. If you can find one (they are in limited ... Read More...

Nissan Sentra 2006 and earlier

Re: Thats fair [alpha01 #1639]

Yes, I test drove it - twice, but I should have taken it overnight or in adverse weather (there's the biggest lesson I learned). My previous car was a 1999 Altima and I was very satisfied with it and when I felt the need to get a newer car I automatically went back to the same dealer. I had expected some of the same qualities in the updated, brand new Sentra, but it just ... Read More...

If Nissan does do an all new 2005 Sentra, I'd expect it to be late in the fall of 2004, like the Mazda 6's intro date. Some recent Asian cars that went over the "5 year cycle". The pre RSX Integra and the 1994-1999 Celica. Some were called a "new generation" because of reskins, like the 2002 Maxima, the 98 Corolla, and the 1998 Mazda 626 Read More...

First off, let me say i sympathize with you on your problematic experieince with your nissan sentra. Ironically, i've owned 3 (2 sentras and a 200SX) and never experienced a problem with either. I'm a very aggressive driver, and I love to push my cars to their limits, and sometimes beyond. In 2000, I purchased a brand new Sentra XE, 5SP Tranny. After about a year ... Read More...

my sentra experiences

my first sentra was good, 1990 XE 3speed automatic. white, 2 door. It had to be towed at 7000 miles due to not starting., the plugs were fried , they did not due the pre-buyers check on i, and the timing was out of whack and it messed up the plugs. AT 8000 miles, we got our am/fm/cassette player replaced...it died. At 10,000, the black strips on the doors fell off, replaced ... Read More...

Low End Sedans (under $16k)

Wow...

You guys have been busy... major... which article are you referring to that rated the Protege ES 0-60mph in 8.9 seconds. The 1999 Protege ES review of Car and Driver November 1998 clocked the Protege with an 8.4 second run to 60mph. I'd post a link, but the Edmunds software throws a fit about the character count. Who said Mazda sales are down? As of July 2001, year-over-year ... Read More...
