Also, even after a mechanic looks at it, there is no guarantee that the vehicle won't have some problems (undoubtedly there will be). A mechanic can observe some of the obvious issues.   The better deal is unabled to be determined, based upon the limited information you provided. You would need a qualified mechanic to check them over. One bad problem with either of the vehicles (like an engine or transmission problem).....or a couple smaller problems (like new CV joints, brakes, tires, shocks, waterpump/cooling) could total thousands of dollars to repair.   Were you able to fix this problem. I have exactly the same thing happen to my 1998 Nissan 200SX and everytime the battery and charge lights go on my alternator stops charging even after I replaced it. Please let me know

  I'd like to know the answer to this - I have a 1998 with 122,000 miles on it and I've never changed the timing belt. How come it isn't listed in the Nissan maintenance on-line information at missan.com?

  If Nissan does do an all new 2005 Sentra, I'd expect it to be late in the fall of 2004, like the Mazda 6's intro date. Some recent Asian cars that went over the "5 year cycle".   Hi all...I'm in the market for a used car and I found a 1998 Nissan Sentra GXE with 77,000 miles on it. The car is pretty good when in 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th gears, but at 60mph+ and 5th gear, it wobbles. I was told by a mechanic that it would be fixed if i did a wheel alignment and balance. What do you think? Do I make/break the deal? Thanks.
