Just keeps going
Vehicle
1995 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr GXE Sedan
Review
Bought it new, has 213k miles and still going strong. most reliable car I've ever had (yes, I've owned some hondas). Glad i got the 5 speed, the engine doesn't have much low end torqe, you really have to ring the power out of it, it would be frustrating to drive with an auto. Overall a very good car.
Favorite Features
Smooth, comfortable ride for a car this size, excellent gas mileage, durability, ac works great. Still has original engine, suspension, ac, battery, and many other parts.
Suggested Improvements
center arm rest, more low end torqe, tachometer.

It's a great car to buy. A low maintenance car which is reasonably priced and delivers value for money. Presently reads 102,000.
Favorite Features
Great gas Mileage , Reliable and neat looks. Decent power and stick shift transmission for the additional kick !!
Suggested Improvements
None really. Considering the age of the car .. its perfect.

PLEASANTLY SUPRISED!

Reliable and fun to drive car
Favorite Features
Exterior and Interior Design, Seats comfortable even for me with a fused neck. Suprised of peppiness especially because I previously drove a Nissan 6 cylinder sports car that was great but hard to get into seat after neck surgery but fit me like a glove once I was in it.
Suggested Improvements
Center console for arm rest and lumbar support.

an OK car

1995 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr XE Sedan
Review
This is a nice, small car, that would be great for a first car. Not a whole lot of pep, especially with the A/C on, and could use more features. Has been reliable, except for starter and brakes, and now reads 101,000.
Favorite Features
Its small size makes it easily maneuvered and can make quick sharp turns. Gets great gas mileage with its 1.6L 4 cylinder engine. Overall a good, cheap, reliable car.
Suggested Improvements
Increased acceleration and better brakes. Also increased leg room in the front and rear would be nice

Reliable Car for a Good Price
Vehicle
1995 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr GXE Sedan
Review
My '95 Nissan Sentra is a nice little car. It is reliable and gets good mileage. It's not very expensive so you pretty much get what you pay for. There's not much horse-power. It's just a 4-cylinder engine. There's no extras such as keyless remote entry or anti-lock brakes or even a CD player. But I'm sure the newer ones have a CD player. Recently I was in an accident and was pleased to find out that the seat belts worked well and the airbags deployed perfectly.
Favorite Features
I like the fact that it's a small, limber car. You can cut corners pretty fast and it has a small wheel base. There's good manueverability. It's also a pretty roomy car even though it's small.
Suggested Improvements
I just wish it had more horsepower. That's really the only thing. It's not really built to go very fast. My car starts shaking a little bit once I hit 80 or 85 mph.

has been a durable ride, bought my Sentra GXE at 59,000 and now is at 107,000 and only had to buy new tires and a new alternator. A fairly smooth ride, however, not much room in the back seat for taller people and the trunk is smaller than my Honda Civic, otherwise, this car was an excellent buy and has served me well, very reliable

gas mileage 30+ and reliability

increase trunk space

1995 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr GLE Sedan
Review
My 1995 GLE is very dependable. I get approx 25/33 city/hwy. Lack of independent rear suspension affects handling. Handling is not as precise as the competition from Honda and Toyota. I upgraded to slightly larger and highly rated 14 inch tires but wet weather braking traction continues to suffer. It is worse than in similar sized cars. Excellent brakes in dry weather. Poor pickup with A/C running in spite of 5 speed tranny. Car is very reliable and the stock alloys are nice. Great highway cruiser - no complaints there. Car has much better pickup when using premium fuel.
Favorite Features
Velour seats are excellent. Alloy wheels. Easy to change spark plugs and flush radiator. Excellent Reliability. Interior ergonomics. Fuel economy. Precise steering and good braking. Small engine. Excellent fit and finish.
Suggested Improvements
Need independent suspension and torque, please. Civic and Corolla have better handling, performance and fuel economy. Car is light. Poor stereo. Need a smoother 5 sp tranny. Exhaust should last longer than 84K miles. Front passenger's knees touch the dashboard.

Not bad

I bought the car new. So far, no mechnical problem. Two pieces of the outside molding came loose and needed to be glued back. No big deal. I also had to replace the muffler and part of the exhaust pipe due to rust but that happens to all cars after a while. Overall, I am happy with the car.

Great Car

Review
My GXE is excellent. Ran well even with the number of miles on it. Fit and finish is excellent. More space than other cars in class. As for power & acelleration, I recommend the 5-speed over the auto. Car rides well on all roades except on really rough roads. Car is a dream on highway (70-80 mph no problem). AC is AWESOME, Nissan is famous for that. Fit & Finish, someone hit my trunk lid with a hammer, I replaced it with one from a 1997 GXE that matched perfectly. Seats could be better, lumbar support that is.
Favorite Features
AC is Great. High reving engine. First allignment at 130,000 NO ADJUSTMENT NEEDED! (Even after driving New Orleans for 2 years)
Suggested Improvements
Better seats.
