I bought my car almost 4 years ago after never finding a good replacement for another Japanese import. I have put ~$1500 in some repairs (starter, oil seal, struts, brakes, battery) in about 3 years, but the car has been very economical. The car has been very reliable even when fancier cars couldn't start or go in bad weather. You are a smart person to get this car. I will look for a comparable vehicle when this one gives up... if it ever gives up!
Great gas mileage (35-40 mpg with 5 speed manual), easy to maneuver in parking lots and other small areas, great gas mileage, cheap insurance, radio controls easy to reach while resting hand in gear shifter, great gas mileage, good conversation piece to brag about. Did I mention great gas mileage?!
Cup holders only designed for 12 oz. cans... not the big gulps! Plug in for cell phone adaptor intersects with cup holder, but it's not a big deal. Tinted windows would be nice standard feature.
