I'd like to know the answer to this - I have a 1998 with 122,000 miles on it and I've never changed the timing belt. How come it isn't listed in the Nissan maintenance on-line information at missan.com? Read More...

Refering to a 1993 Nissan Sentra factory shop manual (the latest I have), the compression specifications are as follows: GA16 ENGINE Nominal - 178 psi Mimimuim - 149 psi Maximum cylinder variation - 14 psi Now, the biggest mistake made by people performing a compression check is in the set-up. I owe a 1993 Nissan Sentra 1.6 engine. It gave me nothing but quality. This car lasts 265000 miles until it starts to smoke. I work on my car for 1. brake job (no one touches my brake). 2.
