Reliable car!
Vehicle
1992 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr XE Sedan
Review
I bought this car from my girlfriend a few years ago because I needed a fuel-efficient car for commuting to and from work (Jeep was way too thirsty for gas!). The car has a total of 235,000 miles. The car is a little rusty with a big dent on the right front panel passenger side. The car is very reliable. The car is great on gas too. There are some disadvantages to the car. It shifts hard from 1st gear to 2nd gear, I have replaced the governor gear three times, and it leaks oil (a lot of it).
Favorite Features
Great on gas! Low cost repairs.
Suggested Improvements
None, the car is too old.

WOW!

Review
I bought this car from a coworker for a few hundred dollars. It has very high mileage, but it seems to be very reliable so far. There are no leaks or "weird" noises so far. For a high mileage vehicle, it is clean and quick and gets good gas mileage. I would definitely recommend this car. I prefer Hondas but this is a worthy substitute! I am glad that I bought it and look forward to many happy miles.
Favorite Features
Reliability, size, gas mileage.
Suggested Improvements
The security release on the steering wheel is a little annoying and cupholder placement, I like the cupholders themselves though.

Had to get another
Vehicle
1992 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr XE Sedan
Review
Got the car with 56K miles on it. When it had 135K, I bought the wife a brand new car, but she insisted on driving this one for another 2 years! Peppy, very manueverable, easy on gas and maintenance. Finally sold it at 210K miles to a coworker who loves the car. He has 246K on it now! It's the Timex of cars!
Favorite Features
Gas mileage. Averaged 29-30 MPG consistently. Amazingly peppy engine, even with the automatic trans. AC was always freezing cold, it was amazing in the Texas heat, and the engine temp stayed well within the normal range.
Suggested Improvements
Cupholders were not the best nor in the best spot. The XE interior was liked by wife, but I would have preferred the Limited Edition interior. The 13" wheels wore out 4 sets of tires in front (in only 160K miles), but they spin so easily with that peppy engine. Maybe 14' tires would do better?

I love my Nissan Sentra

This car is incredibly reliable. My wife bought it in 1999 with 72,000 miles. Now, in 2006, it has 190,000 miles and still runs like a charm. The gas mileage is incredible, and although it's not exactly sporty, the engine is strong enough to do what you need. Of course, the rear seating is small, but it's fine for car seats.
Favorite Features
Fuel economy and reliability.

Nice Reliable Car

Review
Car has been passed down from two older siblings. Been a fairly reliable car over the past 10 years. Fixed quite a bit of everything; but once fixed, car was great. Although it is no beauty, car has attracted the attention of many when it failed in the middle of the road 3x because of gasoline pump problem. Overall, really like the car despite its flaws, no sarcasm intended.
Favorite Features
really fun car to drive. great to spin out in the snow. awesome for jumping ramps. car flies through speed bumps like no other. great for off roading. car is a perfect blend of a hummer and a ferrari and everything i imagine it to be.
Suggested Improvements
gas pump had to be replaced 3x. exhaust system had to replace 3x. need better suspension and struts-currently feels like a tractor. need more reliable starter-had to replace that too. Currently max out at 65 mph without shaking. 0-6 in 30 seconds. should beat a pedestrian merging on the highway

the SERious sentra!
Vehicle
1992 Nissan Sentra 2 Dr SE-R Sedan
Review
This car is an amazing little machine. I bought mine used with 184,000 miles on it...and it runs like brand new! The SR20 is an incredibly durable engine. It handles very well(good for crowded parking lots) and can blow the doors off almost anything stock(good for merging on the highway). Its a sleeper, so its invisible to cops, and its got nissan quality. with 184,000 miles on it i've had the following mechanical failures. - - - as you can see, its a very tough car. Its hard to keep the wheels stuck to the street in acceleration(love that engine) and it shifts smooth as butter. and the rev-limiter is great, kept me from blowing my engine once.
Favorite Features
Sleeper desighn; SR20DE; Super smooth tranny; cozy interior; little digital clock under the Tach; stereo right next to steering wheel for easy reach...large enthusiast group.
Suggested Improvements
SR20VE instead of SR20DE

Most relaible car I've ever driven

Review
My dad bought this car brand new in 1992, I bought it from him in 1998. Between the 2 of us the only things we have had to reaplce is the exhaust (normal), spark plugs and wires (routine), fuel injector (at about 100,000 miles), and the alternator, which was entirely my fault as I compete in car audio competitions and put a lot of strain on the electrical system. The total cost that I've put into the car is less than $300, it is by far the most reliable car I've ever driven or even heard of, I will never think about buying a non-nissan vehicle they are they best you can buy for the money, I also have a nissan 300ZX.
Favorite Features
gas mileage, A/C and heat, both are way better than anyone would ever need.
Suggested Improvements
none

I bought this car new in '92 & sold it after a very pleasing 240,000 miles. I definitley got my money worth. I have never had any major repairs. Nissan's mufflers lasted 120,000 miles and the rear breaks NEVER needed to be changed! The motor runs very smooth and I never had any problems starting no matter what the weather had to offer, even -20 F the car never hesitated to start. The only repairs needed to the car were to parts that will eventually wear out after years of use, front brakes, shocks/struts, tires etc. The only minor problems I've had was the cruise control died several years ago and a small annoying water leak.
Favorite Features
Engine, fuel economy and paint color (cherry red pearl)

Best car ever owned
Vehicle
1992 Nissan Sentra 4 Dr XE Sedan
Review
My 1992 Nissan Sentra, bought used with 96,000 miles on it, has been the best car I have ever owned. It currently has over 225,000 miles on it. I have replaced the fuel pump twice and the alternator once. The CV joint on one side was replaced at 185,000 miles and I am going to replace the other side within the month. The A/C blows cold and everything except the cassette player works as new. It is responsive and holds the road well. It will travel at 90 MPH all day long. It does occasionally require a quart of oil between changes, which are done every 5,000 miles.
Favorite Features
Comfort, acceleration, reliability and layout of controls.
Suggested Improvements
Sell me another one.

I bought this car for its value, but it has been extreamly dependable even with its 180,000 miles. Any time I have had a repair or maintenance mechanics can't belive I still have orginal parts. I will most definitaly stick with the sentra even when buying a new care in the next year.
