  I bought my 2011 Rogue in December 2010 and just noticed this when I drove to NY in September. I brought the car in for service and they said that the newer Nissan's transmissions are not meant to hold on hills. I feel like I'm driving a stick shift and am looking behind me to see how close the car is to me.

  Hi, My 2010 Rogue 360 had the exact same problem. Nissan Techline told the dealer to replace the valve-body in my transmission. After making an almost 2000 mile round trip last week, since the repair, I can say mine doesn't have the problem anymore. Hopefully your dealer will do the same.

  We just bought a Rogue for my wife and I have not noticed this. However, my Xterra makes a noise like you described and in the circumstances you described. I was told that it is normal and is something to do with the ABS brakes doing a self check or something along those lines.

  This doesn't seem good to me at all. See my post a page or 2 back. I got an 09 SL for $21 with Sat radio, blue tooth , Spoiler, chrome grille, bose radio. Mine was purshcased in Florida but still your paying way too much ti seems. Good luck.

  It is a FWD.....trying to trade it for a Honda but terrible price offered...will be back to the dealer next week to get another complaint visit logged. Nissan CA have not returned my call from last week yet....

  I had an 08 AWD ROGUE. At 15000 miles it needed a new transmission and 3 weeks after that another, we got rid of it. We now have a RAV 4.
