2007 Nissan quest w/ 36K miles (has the dual climate control). When turning on the A/C in the front A/C blows cold on the right side but warm/hot air on left. When A/C is turned off and temperature is set to 60deg, cool air is felt on right side and HOT AIR is felt on left side. Rear unit operates normally.
The 2006 Odyssey is a nicer overall van than the 2007 Quest. And you're right that both have their share of problems. But the Odyssey is in higher demand and has higher resale value. One year later, my 2004 Quest is still chugging along. I had an issue with the camshaft position sensors last summer and (surprise, surprise) rotors! Never seen such poor brake design! Good luck!
Thank you all for your reviews here. About 3 weeks ago, I almost bought a 2007 Quest SE. I guess I didn't do my research at that point. I THANK God for deal not going through. Seller backed out. At that point I was upset because I really liked the van. But now I think, everything happens for a reason. Since then we have bought a 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring Edition ... Read More
Not sure what a "loose" engine mount means, nor a twisted brake hose. If the mount is broken/torn, that would be unusual for 35K but if a bolt is loose, that could have come like that from the factory for all we know. A "twisted brake hose" would disable your brakes entirely, so I kinda doubt that's for real. A worn belt, 50% brakes, possibly warped rotors, those could all be ... Read More
Hi... just bought a 2007 Nissan Quest from the dealer, just off lease with @35K. Took the car to my mechanic and was told that the car had the following problems... engine mount loose, twisted brake hose, belt well worn out, brake pads less than 50%, with brakes pulsating when applied. The dealer said all these things were checked prior to the sale and deemed ok and it's just wear/tear... my ... Read More
snook, you are responding to a post of mine from 3 years ago. I own a 2004 Quest. I must admit I have been very lucky. Mine is plagued with an annoying door rattle and rotors that warp. if you think the price is great, then I think it is worth it. If the rattle noise is coming from the sliding doors, they can make adjustments to remove the rattle. After owning my new 2009 Quest SE for 5 days, I'd like to post my likes and dislikes about it. This is mainly in comparison to the other minivans we considered purchasing. We chose the Quest because of the great deal we got (below invoice), the awesome financing at the time and because Nissan gave us $2000 move for our trade (2007 Murano) than any other dealer. Had we been able ... Read More
Thanks for the reply. I went back to Uhaul and they insist it's the van's wiring system from the factory. I'm going to go to another Uhaul dealer and have someone else take a look at it. Dandy, I agree with your whole post. Nissan lacks the rep of Toyota and Honda, but they match or exceed their price. What was the 500 volume discount you were referring to? We have dealers here still with 2007s. And I don't see when they are going to clear out the 2008s with the economic progressions. It is going to be a brutal sales month for Nissan (at least the minivans). ... Read More

All, It happened again.....It was in the low 90's here and all of the sudden our front AC just cut out while on a local freeway. Would not start back until I turned the ignition off and on again. I am trying to help my sister research & purchase a new Minivan. How much would you take in to consideration for a "never titled" demo depreciation? We purchased a base 2006 Dodge Caravan in Sept. 2006 with the 4 cylinder engine. With 29,000+ miles, no problems to report. Acceleration is leisurely at best. However, with the size of your family I suggest you look at a 2006 or 2007 Grand Caravan. There are lots around for under $15,000 or $16,000 with low mileage. All come with either a 3.3 or 3.8 V6. Good luck.
$22000? that's a great price, where are you located? i'm in socal and the best i got so far is $24xxx for a 2008 3.5S with driver's package. no leather, no skyview... not so many write ups about purchases here. 100s for odyssey/sienna. no one like the quest? prob cuz the 2009 is coming out in a new body style this fall. thanks!
Price sounds good. You may want to check what rebates are available. Based on the price you got from the dealer, there must be. The 400 miles on the van shouldn't be too much of an issue. The problem you run into now is the dealer will give you a great price but normally only for car already on the lot. They have their end of year numbers to worry about. ... Read More

I found the quest can start good on snow, but the poor weight ditribution (60/40) hurts its handling in snow. 2004-2007 has a full bench, the only difference is that you dont have to remove a single restrain to fold the seats unlike 2004-2006. The 3rd row can fold flat, but the 2nd row can only fold somewhat flat. (not a perfect flat cargo)

We had this happen, for the first time, this weekend. We started the van, AC was on auto and rear AC was on high, it was 95 degrees here. Hi mich0222. The dealer invoice price for a base 2007 Nissan Quest with no options is currently $23,597. My wifes brother has 1000 miles on his 07 nissan quest. Front A/C has stopped working twice. Dealer has told him it may be a bad resistor. Dealer advised him to let them know if it happens again. Is this a known problem? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Conger14. On July 3rd, Nissan published a new lease program. NMAC's latest buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Nissan Quest SL with 12,000 miles per year are .00030 and 45%, respectively. This is a great money factor, but a terrible residual value. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
