Summary
What Edmunds.com says
With its non-traditional sheet metal, innovative features and strong V6 engine, the Quest provides a stylish alternative to the class-leading Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, but can't match their level of refinement or user-friendly nature.
Pros
Flat-folding rear seats, head airbag protection for all occupants, smooth 240-horse V6, innovative roof system.
Cons
Inconvenient control layout, some low-grade plastics, third-row seat isn't split-folding, can't get a second-row bench seat.
What's New for 2005
Revisions to the Quest for 2005 include adjustable armrests for the leather-appointed front seats, a standard roof rack on the 3.5 S and new active front head restraints on all trims. Satellite radio is now available, and the theft-deterrent system is now standard on all models. The S also receives a power-sliding passenger-side door, power liftgate, power rear-quarter windows and a reverse-sensing system. Bose audio has been added to the Leather package on the 3.5 SL. The SL also receives the five-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. A new low-priced base model debuts this year, slotted just below the S.

My car makes a loud noise & there is vibration in the front of the car when the car is accelerated. I brought the car in to the dealer lots of times for a period of over 3 months. They said I needed to replace the entire exhaust system. I paid to replace it but it didn't fix the problem. They then replaced the catalytic converters, fuel rails, engine mounts, adjusted the front cradle and finally the transmission. They couldn't fix the problem & Nissan corporation told me after replacing all those items on the quest, that the vibration & noise was normal for this vehicle & to just deal with the problem. Nissan acknowledge the car had a problem in the beginning, now they don't want to help.

Bought used in '06 with 18,000 miles. Liked looks compared to others in class. Problems have included broken rear wiper, door gaskets falling off, replaced rear lift gate motor. Tires were shot by 30,000. Replaced all 4 rotors, pads, and rear calipers. Extended warranty covered defective calipers, but brake job still cost $600. Have gone on a few road trips of more than 1000 miles and performance was O.K. Gas mileage on the highway is around 25 mpg with city near 20 mpg. Ride is a bit noisy at highway speed compared to an Odyssey or Sienna. I most likely would not buy another Quest. Honda or Toyota would be my first two choices.
Favorite Features
DVD system, power liftgate, and fold away third row.
Suggested Improvements
Needs better brakes and stock tires.

This is the 3rd Nissan I have owned - the 1st one bought brand new. So far, I had to replace tires and brakes at 30,000 miles; driver's side sliding door latch literally fell apart (warranty); engine mounting bolts (!!!) fell out (warranty). One week after the 3-year mfg wty expired, my battery had to be replaced, the rear sonar sensor failed/not able to be reset, and one of the rear wing window closing assembly fell apart. Also, during cold weather, the sliding door cannot be opened. Rear trunk hatch does not latch well. Creaky/clicking sounds from the front end. I am grateful I bought the extended warranty - looks like it will be used a lot. When kids are big, I'm buying another Sentra.
Favorite Features
Body style, roomy rear cargo area, sun roof, heated seats :) Latch system easy to access in middle and rear rows for child seat installation and removal.Upholstery and carpet easy to clean up kid spills and everyday dirt.
Suggested Improvements
Too low to the ground. I constantly scrape things, including large tree leaves in the road. Expensive tires, 3 different sizes of window wiper blades.

52,000 miles I have been through 8 pair of brakes and rotors once. This has cost me a fortune. Everyone tells me this is normal.
Favorite Features
Fun van to drive.
Suggested Improvements
Brakes & gas mileage. I get 13.9 miles in the city, terrible, and 16.5 on the highway.
