This forum has been very helpful, we were originally looking at a Kia, then got swayed to the quest and this forum has done a lot to ease my mind. We currently have a 1998 Mercury Villager (Quest clone) with 90K miles and are pretty happy, although it has had its share of small issues it has been a good car. We are now looking for a 06 sexy red 3.5S ... Read More

Hi Revka, Where exactly the wiper switch is located? I have a 1998 nissan Quest and the wiper does not work. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I suspect the wiper switch/replay is bad. But I could not find it. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • O/D indicator in Dashboard

Written by: questdriver on Oct 19, 2005 2:19:44 PM

My yellow O/D dashboard indicator does not come on when I click the O/D button on the shifter. I tried at idle and at cruising 60 mph on highway without any luck. It does not even down shift after I click the button at highway speed. It simply means that the O/D is not engaging. Does anyone of you encounter this problem? Any suggestions? The van rides very nicely at 68k. ... Read More

Although the size has increase so much, a few neat features did not carry over to the 2004+ model! - flip-open tailgate window - 2nd row flip-out quarter windows that's outdated but that is the minimal, ody, sienna, mpv offer scroll-down 2nd row I would say that nissan should work on this: 1. shiftable "Center Console" that can be shiftable from the center to "regular" position 2. Bought 1998 Ford Mercury Villager in November 2002, after two weeks test driving it. Had 65,130 miles and no serious problems listed on carfax. Drove great until 8 months later, August 6, 2003. The transmission was slipping. We had bought an extended 24/24 bumper to bumper warranty from DaimlerChrysler so, only had to plucked down our $100 deductable to keep it fixed and let out a big sigh of relief. Speed ... Read More

Back in December of 1998 we got our 99 Quest SE for $440 over invoice. This isn't the best price I have heard of, but we were happy with it. The best price you can get in your area will depend on how many vans your local dealers have in stock, how well they are selling, and how motivated they are to move them out. You may want to look back ... Read More

Has anyone had any problems with the weatherstripping of the front windshield of the Nissan Quest pulling out while driving? I bought my 1998 Quest new in August 1998. Since then, I have brought it back to the dealer 3 times for this problem.
