1995 Nissan Quest Minivan GXE 3dr Minivan

Review

We must be living right. We have owned this van for over 8 years and bought it at 100,000mi and to date we have now 242,000 mi and still going strong. We are second owners and we have only needed to replace the A/C, passenger windshield motor and radiator. We also replaced the timing belt b/c our mechanic said we needed to. Everything works on the inside but sometimes the locks seem to have a mind of their own. I wish they made them like they used to. We are looking around for another solid mechanically sound vehicle just in case she gives up the ghost, but as of this writing, no other vehicle has good consumer reviews in the price range we can afford. So we will just keep on driving her.

Best Features

Electric sunroof, dependable, comfortable, great visibility, rear glass opens independently, everything still works and looks good for an ol' girl. Except those darn locks!

Worst Features

Please fix the locks!

Review

Reliable van (no engine problems) that
has gone thru 3 elementary school
kids, trips to Florida, Canada, Ohio,
Maine, etc. Lack of a left-hand door
is annoying, but of course none had
one at the time.

Best Features

3rd row bench on sliding rails, flexible seating arrangements, have carried everything including a 14 ft ladder, since back window opens separately from door.

Worst Features

Toyota Sienna -- NOT the new Quest!

Our Quest will be 7 years old in
September. We are a family of 6 we
have enjoyed our mini van. It has
never given us any trouble. We are
just starting to search for a new car,
only because mom is ready.

We love our sunroof!!!

Review

We have owned this minivan for 7 years
and 125,000 miles. It still is as
solid as when we bought it. No
rattles, unlike our friend's Chrysler
Town and Country at 40,000. It handles
and brakes well. Has a good ride. It
is underpowered, though, so you have to
put your foot in it to get going. Only
a few problems the whole time-air
conditioning failed, and motorized seat
belt failed on passenger side. Also,
had to replace a radiator. That's it.
Everything else runs like new. Just
need more room as the kids have grown
up. GM minivans have SUBSTANTIALLY
more leg room.

Best Features

Solid. Nice handling, ride.

Worst Features

More leg room.
