I purchased my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder used with only a few thousand miles on it. I have had it since early 2008 and have had no issues with the car. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a strange noise and vibration at about 40 mph and then again at 60 mph. I was having an oil change and they inspected, but could find no problems. I Googled the issue and ... Read More
I think this is the post: switchfixer, "Nissan Pathfinder Electrical Problems" #79, 18 Mar 2008 7:58 am I have a similar switch in my '99 Quest and it was replaced under warranty early on. The other day the turn signals quit but simply shutting the van off and restarting it seemed to fix it (don't remember flipping the switch but maybe I did). Next time I'll try Switchfixer's trick. I replaced our radiator in 2008, when our 05 pathfinder had 60k on it. Subsequently I have replaced the U joints and some bearings but not the tranny. I just got my check from Nissan for the radiator. I live in fear that the tranny will go but so far so good...
We have a Pathfinder LE with 21,000 miles on it and it is in excellent condition. We bought the vehicle in So. TX when we lived there and relocated to PA in 2008. We took it to a local Nissan dealer here and they didn't even want to deal with us because it wasn't a 4WD. They were very insulting to us and we would never go back there again. My ... Read More
So this is more for folks shopping used since Toyota recently released their revised 2010 4Runner. I gave the 2010 a look and while some things are improved, it's bigger, slower, and overall couldn't convince me to cough up the extra dough to go new. I like to buy very lightly used and keep the coin in my pocket. I haven't seen many folks talking about the '08+ Pathfinder here which ... Read More

I got 2008 LE 4x4 with all the bells and whistle except DVD for 1/3 off the sticker price so the cost was $27,500 plus tax original cost was a little over $41,0000. Got rid of a 1999 Mitsu Montero with 190K miles. Happy Pathfinder owner.
I had a similar problem with my '06 Pathfinder. The cause of the transmission shuttering was due to a crack from a radiator hose. The coolant leaked and mixed with the transmission fluid. Now I have to replace the radiator and might have to replace the transmission too. And not surprisingly, the repair is not covered under the power terrain warranty because the radiator is at fault. Bottom line Nissans are ... Read More

Ouch ! I think there might be some truth in the fact that the EPA is demanding different standards on vehicles now and it may have something to do with the change. I have read other posts and they ... Read More

Greetings eperk34. What you were told is correct. Nissan's consumer cash incentives on the Pathfinder are not compatible with its special lease program. Hi, I was just wondering if you can tell me if these numbers are a good deal to lease a 2008 Pathfinder SE (w/ Premium package, xm radio) - $379 (including taxes) a month, with a $2000 money upfront. the msrp on the car is $34,220 and we were given an invoice price of $31,581. thanks!!!
As an earlier post mentioned, I also had a Nissan Senior Tech admit and witness the problem. He described my issue as more of a "shutter or thump" when lighty pressing the gas pedal around 40mph. This issue is relatively the same issue as others have posted with tramission, rough shifting, etc. The Tech said Nissan has recognized the problem and hope to have a fix soon. It is very annoying ... Read More
Does anyone know about or understand CVT? When I discussed my problem with relative at nissan, he first thought maybe it was CVT. So, did you call Customer Service at Nissan Corporate? I have a contact of a newly retired Nissan exec who may be able to help me. I also believe this is a production problem. I have been getting the same problem with rough up and down shifting between 35 to 40 mph. The dealer says there is no bulletin out yet, but after showing him 12 posts on the computer from various areas of the country and calling nissan they say a fix is coming but they have to make sure it will work. We are taking our 2008 LE V6 Pathfinder back to the dealership for the third time for this very issue. The ride is terrible. We are very disappointed and Nissan should be ashamed of a product like this. If you find out any solutions let me know but I don't think they can fix them.

Hi douglasny. The lease program that you were quoted is right in line with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s current numbers for this model. That is a good thing. Hi nyadj. The lease money factor and residual value that you were quoted are correct. The money factor for an otherwise identical lease of a 2008 Pathfinder SE V6 4WD is exactly the same, but its residual value is slightly lower at 56%.
