2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Had my Pathfinder for a year now. The cabin is roomier widthwise than the 4- Runner and being a big guy that is why I chose it plus the styling is cooler. Don't know why edmunds said it doesn't handle as well. Great cruiser for long trips. Who cares that the 3rd row is tight for adults, it is either going to be down, or used for kids. If you need to haul 7 adults frequently, buy a van.
Favorite Features
strong motor. styling. reliable. home link. seats are great.
Suggested Improvements
not fond of the wood grain. tire air sensor is very sensitive.

Tight

Review
I looked at the 4runner, H3, Jeep Grand Chrokee and Pathfinder. I was looking for a SUV that was still a "truck" rather than a car crossover. The jeep has fallen out of the truck catagory for me. Its too low to the ground, does not have truck-like tires and no dealers seem to carry the two speed transfer case. The H3 was out b/c I have kids and it does not come with rear door locks anchors for child seats - no wonder GM can't give away its cars. I drove both the H3 and jeep and they also seemed cheap and the fit and finish was poor. The 4runner and pathfinder were both tight and had smooth-as-silk acceleration. I went with the pathfinder b/c you could get more options for the money.
Favorite Features
Powerful engine, smooth tranny, excellent fit and finish - very quiet ride, leather seats, agressive tires, off road ability. I love it its by far the best truck I have ever owned (and I have owned a few - toyota p/u, Rodeo, durango, cherokee)
Suggested Improvements
none - maybe exterior design - make it look more agressive like the xterra.

It drives pretty nice, looks a lot better than other similar american made models in its class,
Favorite Features
appearance, color

need to improve, air noise around front windows, and need to get much better mileage than it gets now for a 6 cyclinder, gets about the same mileage as the Titan, V8, not much difference at all, i have had both with in the passed two years
Great SUV

Review
Without a doubt this SUV is a winner. I have tested many vehicles off-road and I always favored a Pathfinder. My wife wouldn't go for the 4x4, therefore I was forced to live with the 4x2. In my opinion it is the best mid-large SUV for the buck.
Favorite Features
The 4.0L/V6 engine. It has a nice accelaration and handles quite well. The extra cargo room is a must have for a family. The interior is way underrated. I think it's a nice drive.
Suggested Improvements
No suprise here....gas mileage. Very few SUV's do well in this category. The rear seats are perfect for small kids, but for the rest of the world...sorry.

Great SUV for the Money
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
We bought our new Pathfinder after a year and a half of torture in a Durango...ahhhh! What a great ride, very smooth. Engine is o.k., but I like the HEMI better(only thing I like on the Durango), but the Pathfinder has enough. Interior is well laid out, just wish they used better quality "wood" which is actually plastic, be careful, it scratches easily. We bought the car and 2 days later went on a 2500 mile road trip, (wife, daughter, the dog and I) and the Pathfinder was GREAT! The seats are very comfortable! I only wish I got the NAV. It also has an iPod interface which I did not know about until it was too late, wish I got it also. I would recommend car over any other in its class.
Favorite Features
Bose, seats, exterior look (I think it looks a bit like the Landrover LR3), ride, PRICE. Interior is well laid out, and I love the bottle holders in the front doors.
Suggested Improvements
Put the V-8 that you use in the Titan in this, WOW would that be great! Wish it had a power lift gate. Wish I could get the brushed aluminum on the LE vs. the wood.

Excellent SUV

2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

We traded my wife's 1999 Grand Cherokee in for the Pathfinder. We have no regrets... the Pathfinder has been far superior to our Gr. Cherokee (which had seen its 3rd rear axle failure, among other things, in 70K miles). It has 80 more horsepower and gets 3 mpg (average) better mileage. In 6 months, we have put 15,000 trouble free miles on the Pathfinder. These miles includes a couple 2,000 mile trip with our 7 year old twins. The flexiblity of the the 3-row seating allowed for one to sit in the 2nd row and the other in the 3rd, and provide plenty of room for all our luggage/gear. The Bose stereo, power, styling and comfort are excellent. I would recommend the Pathfinder to anyone.
Favorite Features
Power, flexibility of seating configurations, Bose stereo, low road noise, build quality, styling (interior & exterior) and overall value.
Suggested Improvements
Dash materials. They are nicely styled, but are produced from too hard grade of plastic. I suggest using a softer material, but retain the same styling.

Smooth Sailing SUV
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Pathfinder S 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I used to hear of SUV as being cumbersome and consuming. But, our Nissan Pathfinder 2006 is none of that. It is very comfortable and rolls with ease. Above all our kids are always shrieking with joy whenever its time to go out with the SUV..because it has so much space for them to pull hairs and hide! I have never regretted it, more so its ability to consume as little gas as an Xterra but more satisfying for me, my spouse and our entire family
Favorite Features
Space, family-friendly and beauty

Best Combination of Features

2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I test drove the Pathfinder, Pilot, X- Terra, 4-Runner, Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Volvo and Ford Explorer. The Volvo is a great design, but the premium fuel requirement was a problem as well as the cost of regular dealer service. The X-Terra has no sunroof option and is a bit "basic." The Grand Cherokee Limited seemed the most car- like, but the 4.7 V8 was very disapointing. The Pilot did everything well, but seemed bland, especially in the styling department. Ultimately, it got down to the Toyota and the Pathfinder. I drove both 3 times. In the end, I couldn't get past the 4-Runner's "on the floor" driving position, even with the height control maxed out---Pathfinder won.
Favorite Features
Strong V6, durable construction, off road manners, 3rd row seat and blend of durability and luxury in the interior. So far, gas mileage is better than expected at 19.5 mpg, and it runs well on regular gas.
Suggested Improvements
The center section of the second row seat should recline. Move the emergency brake off the floor. The radio display is hard to see under some lighting conditions.

Previously i owned Murano'04 and liked a lot. All of a sudden decided to replaced with another SUV and drove some mid-size ones. As soon i step out of the Nissan i decided to take it. So fast, so comfy so so so... The fuel consumption is not a problem related to the power and the acceleration this vehicle has. Next on might be Armada:)))
Favorite Features
Bose, VDC, exterior.
Suggested Improvements
It might be good if the 3-d row space is bigger or if there is model without 3-d row with more space for the second.

This is my 3rd Pathfinder. I love them. The purchase and the ownership are great and was great with all three SUV's.
Favorite Features
the interior and the sunroof.
Suggested Improvements
The exterior has no class. I almost bought a 4 runner because I hate the way that the outside of the car looks.
