Several messages in this Forum back in 2002 or 2003 mentioned this, but I only found out about the Forum and joined last week.     the upper thermostat is called a water control valve. it is pain to get to and a dealer part (only about $20). Nissan doesn't need another Armada. One is one more than we need. Snatch up one of the the remaining 2004's while you can. They are deeply discounted and still good looking.

    Hi, I'm Roy Stewart from sunny Northern California. I have owned Nissan's since 1986, and recently purchased a 2004 Pathfinder Armada LE. This is my second Pathfinder. I love this car, but I'm having trouble with my climate-controlled heater system. The heater will not responds to the temp setting--it tends to discharge cool air regardless of the setting, except full hot (90 degrees). Is anyone else having similar problems?

    I am in the market for a mid-size. So far, Pathfinder is #1 on my list. I read somewhere that the pathfinder would be re-designed in 2004 and a new model would come out in mid 2003.     I heard that Nissan will have a new full size SUV (2004 model) due out in the fall of 2003. I'm not sure if it will be called a Pathfinder or if it will have a new name.
