Nissan Pathfinder

PSI

On 2003s, it's 30 PSI. Tire pressure sensors go off if pressure ever drops to 25 PSI. On Nissan/Toyota deal, I admit I didn't do very well (sorry), but intended to stay away from a direct inquiry of which is "better" and simply wonder aloud on that stuff that (sometimes) drives an increase in market share (even if they are less reliable somehow, or less safe for some ... phone kit

to Jeg72: I have a nokia hands free kit. The phone kit has the capability to have the radio muted when there is an incoming call. BUT, my 2001 nissan pathfinder radio does not have mute button, therefore the shop was not able to connect that option to my radio. I don't know about 2002,2003 radio's Did they change them at all? If the radio has a mute option on it, then you ... Read More...

Nissan Pathfinder Maintenance and Repair

Break-In Period

I can tell you this: what your dealer told you is entirely inconsistent with the 2003 Nissan Pathfinder owner's manual which does call for a 1,000 mile break-in period. I do not have it with me but you will find the page if you read carefully. It advises against constant speeds, quick full-throttle starts, etc. - but I don't believe it advises against going above ... Read More...

Nissan Pathfinder

PATHFINDER REPLACEMENT ???

I am in the market for a mid-size. So far, Pathfinder is #1 on my list. I read somewhere that the pathfinder would be re-designed in 2004 and a new model would come out in mid 2003. Anyone has anything on this. According to my reading, it would be bigger, based on a truck chassis from a new truck from Nissan. I just can't remember where I read this!!! It does make sense ... wildcorgis and dlundgren

Thanks both for your reply. The rack and wheels are just minor reasons for my looking to get rid of the SE. Mainly, it is the AWD system. If I did not find out that the LE had one after I had leased my SE, I probably would not care at all. But since I found out a few months after, thats what made me want to change for that. I saw in the members photo's section that someone with ... Read More...

2003 4Runner

Serendipity? Fate? Don't sweat it. Let someone else be the first adopter and you get it if they work the bugs and styling issues out in a few years. Intmed99 has the perfect plan to wait a few years with his new '02. If Toyota had been fair about the supercharged 3rd gen I originally went after, then I would have still rather had the last of that run. To me, that is another ... Read More...

Thanks

Mjohnr99, I'll be over it pretty soon. Gee my Pathfinder is a great truck and has a lot of bang for the buck. I'll steer clear of the 4Runner forum for a while ;-) not to tempt myself. I think it is a bit like changing houses. Once the hype of the new house dies down you kinda miss the old one for a while and then you forget, usually by not passing in front of the old house too ... 2003 SE Pricing

Thanks for the comments jiamin, fleetwoodsimca, and mjohnr99. We're going with the Pathfinder instead of the 4Runner. I like both vehicles. I realize that they are totally different. I would still love to get a 4Runner. Maybe next time. Their heads are a little too big for me, so I say screw 'em. Two things did, however, help confirm my decision. 1.) The Nissan ... Read More...

Responses on Pricing and Mileage

To Pricing Post: For comparison, last month we bought a SuperBlack 2003 Pathfinder 4WD LE with the Side Moldings, the Floor Mats, and In-Cabin Microfilter, and the new Vehicle Dynamic Control system. This was at VOB Nissan in Maryland in CAT region. We paid 31,107 total plus T/T/T. Don't remember the breakdown; only the total - but something like: base plus option ... Read More...

Husky Liners for Second Seat

Hey, another exchange that may help clarify earlier posts on board: From Husky (as well as the photos they sent), it appears that the rear seat liners do NOT block the heater vents under the front seats. Good News! I will order as well. E-mail Exchange (he's off on the HP thing though): The '03 models are getting more horsepower, but the floor pans are not changing. ... Read More...
