2003 Pathfinder AC Update

This is the second time I took my new 2003 Pathfinder into the dealership with the complaint that the AC is not cold enough. The day in question was a bright sunny day with 85 degrees. micro cabin air filter

1. I have had 3 Pathfinders all with the in cabin air filter. I have always changed mine every year or 15,000 miles. The filter is packed full of dirt. You can change on your own, or have dealer. Just bought a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder LE(floor demo) on July 2. It had about 6000 miles on it. About five min after I drove it out of the lot, the Service Engine Soon light came on and I brought it back to the dealer twice on July 3. In my home state of New Jersey we can not tint the drivers, or passenger door glass. I have a sun shade for the windshield, and i leave all 4 windowns open a little bit. I have also tried taking the transmission out of overdrive. This makes the compressor turn at a higher speed with no real improvement. I will contact Nissan factory and see what they can do. I have been the proud owner of 4 Pathfinders. My newest is a 2003 LE. But the performance of the air conditioner has been very poor. The dealer did check it out but said many customers are very unhappy with the AC performace. I have a 2003 Pathfinder LE which takes for ever to cool. Local dealer has been great since I have purchased 3 pathfinders to date. The gas and all sensors are normal. Dealer has indicated its the number one problem with the new nissans any suggestions. 2. As for poor window performance when cold my dealer replaced the window gaskets they worked perfect. I know it's pretty much the exact same vehicle - and to be honest - that's why I wanted it again. I am very happy with the way the PF looks, runs, and performs... The Canadian Pathfinder models have offered limited slip as standard equipment on the 3 models lines for the past few years. I note that the 2003 LE model does not offer limited slip, according to the product brochure. The SE comes with limited slip, traction control and other features.
