Suggested Improvements
improve the console, move the ashtray back and cup holders forward

I have only had the Pathfinder for a about two months, but so far I am very pleased. It's the first new vehicle I've owned which will not have a punch list of problems to be resolved when it goes in for it's first check. I was looking for a mid sized suv with 5,000 lb towing. After comparing and test driving nothing came close. The car performs and handles well, is tight and well put together.
Favorite Features
The engine is rock solid. I haven't felt torque like this in years of driving 4 cylinder cars. The sound system's also pretty good for factory install.
Suggested Improvements
My only complaint is I wish the gas mileage were a little better. Maybe a 5 speed transmission would help? I also wish that it were possible to purchase an SE level vehicle with the step-up AWD system.

Safe, confident and reliable handling. SUV with an identity crisis-look like a SUV, quiet & refined like a luxury car and handling and power akin to a moderately priced sports car! So-so cargo room, especially with rear seats reclined. Excellent visibility.
Favorite Features
Simple but not boring instrumentation! Also the sliding driver seat upon entry/exit just like in the high priced vehicles!
Suggested Improvements
Improve fuel economy. Place wood trim facia on the passenger side vents-look incomplete with current styling. Possibly add high(er) performance model.
The best of the rest!

In March I traded in my 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible towards my purchase of a brand new 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. This car not only beats out any other SUV I've driven. I work for Enterprise Rent A Car, I drive all makes and models often, and just like Red Riding Hood, I am picky....The Durango & Trailblazer are excellent, but too trucklike. The Jeep Grand Cherokee down the road is one of my brances best customers for service, that has to tell you something about that vehicles quality.
Favorite Features
My favorite features, the ride. I feel like I am driving an Maxima just with better vision....The 6 disc CD player. Fold down seats (both driver and passenger)
Suggested Improvements
Nothing! I drove a Sebring Convertible and this vehicle although its a little more expensive for gas, I feel safe, secure and love driving this SUV!

Good overall, but first I had wind noise issues with the roof rack, it was replaced! Now in slow driving over a little bumpy assphalt, I hear annoying queak.

I loved my 2001 and bought another almost identical to it. It has even better, more improved features and the XM radio is awesome! And it will scat, but the gas mileage is similar to the old one.
Favorite Features
Comfort! The automatic adjustment of the seats, the sunroof, stereo sold me on the first one also.
Suggested Improvements
There is something weird about the windshild wipers. They tend to streak. That was true on my old one too.
Great vehicle with few errors

I only own nissans and I judge them all and follow the improvements as they develop. I normally buy a nissan about every three years and have owned nissan trucks, sentras, altimas, maximas and pathfinders. Nissan, I can say is a corpration that is for the consumer and puts its best foot froward to please it's buyers.
Favorite Features
A big change is the horse power which was 170hp to a new and improve 240hp. The vehicle has a power windows, locks, seats(dual), stearing, and antenna, Bose sound system, automated climate control, white dash display, adjustable rear seats.
Suggested Improvements
I think things can be improved though. The back seat riders feel the reprocutions of a bump on the road and speed bumps. The fuel ecomomy is dismal. Needs a wider wheel base to make it more steady on turns and reduse roll over.
Still the Best SUV

Review
I've own Pathfinders since 1990.. and today, still is the best SUV on the market. Excellent acceleration, superior handling and when it comes to drive like a car none beats it. Also awsome handling under extreme conditions such as towing and off-road. Cannot be bother by fuel mileage for a mid to large V6-240 hp engine.
Favorite Features
Acceleration.. actually you can beat most cars and suv's on the road. Great design, love the leather wheel! Remote entry key has excellent range.
Suggested Improvements
Driver and front passenger tinted windows. Do-it-yourslef: Replace the OEM air filter with a K&N filter and it will improve gas mileage and acceleration.

I enjoy the power on this vehicle and the solid construction. It does not feel large and clunky like most trucks but agile and quick. I find it roomy and comfortable without feeling overwhelming.
Favorite Features
My favorite features are the leather wrapped steering wheel, automatic temperature control, powerful engine, and, sporty design but not masculine.
Suggested Improvements
The sound system is somewhat muffled and filled with static when listening to the radio, could be the antennae reception.
