2003 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 4A)
Overall the Pathfinder was a good buy.
Its strong, fast, and feels good to
drive. The styling is a bit
understated, and the extra exterior
options (grillguard $399, skirack $100,
rear wind buffer $78, taillight guards
$168) can add up quick. Of these, the
grillguard and the rear wind buffer add
the most to the appearence of the
vehicle. The main reasons I chose this
vehicle over the other competitors (I
had owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee) was
the excellent reliability, and the
Light on its feet, the Pathfinder SE V6
4X4 is strong and the ride feels great
for an SUV. Excellent reliability
record is a sure win. Cloth seats have
a pleasant waffled pattern to them.
Radio and climate controls are all
digital, and easy to operate. Handles
good on snow.
Bose stereo system missing bass, skips
a LOT in low temperatures (35 and
lower). No storage area for the
headrests of rear seats when folding
forward. Roofrack on the SE is a
concern, you can only mount the
Nissan 'yakima' ski/ snowboard
attachment to it. Fuel economy is
