Innovative but some quality issues
By ACS on

2006 Nissan Murano S 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

The Nissan Murano is a very innovative car - first to market in the crossover segment. I transitioned from the Frontier, so better gas mileage but could still be better. Best we have gotten is 20 mpg. The only negative is there are definitely issues with the gas tank design. Had lots of trouble with getting fuel in the vehicle. Dealership service was accomodating and replaced the tank, but when you pay this much of a vehicle these issues should not surface. Overall a fun car to drive with great room - I'm 6'5" and have plenty of room. Missed emotions on the CVT ... robs car of power when you need it. Defintely check this car out.

Best Features

Looks - interior and exterior. V6 has plenty of pep. Comfortable to ride in back seat. Like the 18" wheels and height of this crossover. A good alternative to a truck.

Worst Features

Fuel mileage. Quality - replaced fuel tank already and have some "cabin noise". Keep CVT, but further refine it to provide more power when needed.
