2006 Nissan Murano SUV S 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

Just bought this after driving a 97 Maxima for 11 years. The Maxima was the best car I'd ever owned. The Murano seems like it may be just as good. Solid feel, great road view, excellent quality interior materials, great VQ engine power and unbelievable handling. Nissan calls it the Smooth- UV. I agree.

Favorite Features

Drop this baby into "S" mode and enjoy the ride.

Suggested Improvements

How about more than 4 speakers on the standard audio.

2006 Nissan Murano SUV SL 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

This truck is very fun to drive. The main reason why I purchased it was for the 5 star safety rating. Then the ride is very smooth and the power on the highway is great. It came with everything I wanted. I think the only thing that could be change is wood grain should be in all on the models.

Favorite Features

The reverse camera and the DVD player.I also enjoy the smart key and it has a lot of leg room being that I am 6'. The Boss system is super.

Suggested Improvements

Install wood grain in all of the models.

2006 Nissan Murano SUV SL 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

Great car.. sharp styling, very roomy and a very comfortable ride. If your looking for comfort, style, passenger safety, and performance with decent fuel ecomony, look no further... the Murano will not dissapoint you. The Murano is everything you expect from an SUV, with the ride, feel and appointments found in luxury sedans. This vehicle replaced a Subaru and afforded the size and upscale amenities sadly lacking on the Subaru.

Favorite Features

Rear tailgate camera for backing up, intelekey automated access and startup. Excellent instrument and interior lighting.

Suggested Improvements

Turn signal lights placed within the side mirrors, automated door locking when car is put in gear

Review

The Nissan Murano is a very innovative car - first to market in the crossover segment. I transitioned from the Frontier, so better gas mileage but could still be better. Best we have gotten is 20 mpg. The only negative is there are definitely issues with the gas tank design. Had lots of trouble with getting fuel in the vehicle. Dealership service was accomodating and replaced the tank, but when you pay this much of a vehicle these issues should not surface. Overall a fun car to drive with great room - I'm 6'5" and have plenty of room. Missed emotions on the CVT ... robs car of power when you need it. Defintely check this car out.

Favorite Features

Looks - interior and exterior. V6 has plenty of pep. Comfortable to ride in back seat. Like the 18" wheels and height of this crossover. A good alternative to a truck.

Suggested Improvements

Fuel mileage. Quality - replaced fuel tank already and have some "cabin noise". Keep CVT, but further refine it to provide more power when needed.
