Not a Great CUV
By Car Lover on

Vehicle

2005 Nissan Murano SE AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

This is not one of the greatest CUVs out there. The CVT transmission is boring and apparently beginning to cause problems. Nissan is now extending the warranty to 100k miles. The gas mileage is awful and you must use premium gas to get the vehicle to function close to optimum output. At five years old my front seat sides are tearing even though I am very gentle on this vehicle.

Best Features

Exterior styling still looks good even with the second generation on the roads.

Worst Features

GET RID OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION! It is a complete bore and makes driving the vehicle a chore rather than a pleasure.

I just took my 2005 NISSAN MURANO to the dealer because I had a lick between my engine and transmission and they told me that the training was gone Nissan just extended the warranty to 125K miles Last month and they put a brand new transmission, it was 100% covered by the warranty. You should go to the dealer and tell them to check it real good before your warranty expires
