2003 Nissan Murano SL Fwd 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

C'mon, Someone make a SUV like this for an affordable price. 30K plus? for a small SUV. Think I'll get a Seqouia. Atleast there is size with the price

2003 Nissan Murano SE AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

Owned all types of cars, 4Runners, Trucks, PT Cruiser and Subarus. This by far is the best I have driveen. Don't need three seats nor a minivan type of vehicle. Want smooth performance and excellent seating for 2. This delivers all and more for the price. Glad someone got it right. Wont drive it off road either that what I hve my truck for so back off on off road ability. This will go anywhere I want to do.

Favorite Features

Hard to pick, but the engine and transmission are great #1. Seating is great #2 and the looks are cool #3.

Suggested Improvements

None so far.

This is probably the best SUV on the road now! I love it. No one need to look further than the Murano. It has everything anyone could want! Seriously.

Favorite Features

Adjustable pedals, reclining rear seats, and 6 disc in dash cd changer! All the features actually are outstanding!

2003 Nissan Murano SL AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

An extremely comfortable vehicle with excellent handling. It performs flawlessly on icy and snow covered roads. The sleek exterior is an eye catcher.

Favorite Features

Adjustment of pedals and headlights. Reclining rear seats

Suggested Improvements

Difficult to install a remote starter. Latte interior is poorly designed. Interior consists of 4 different colors; latte, taupe, chrome & black. A bit too much.

Comparison of the Toyota Highlander Limited vs. Nissan Murano SL with Premium and Leather Package. Murano's benefits: Styling and ride, CVT transmission is awesome, 245 HP vs 220, 18 inch vs 16 inch wheels, Xenon headlights with adjustment switch, Dual climate control for driver and passenger, as well as backseat vents, Bose sound system was superior to the JBL, Memory settings with adjustable seats, mirrors, and pedals for Driver 1 and 2 (great for weekend driver vs. daily driver use), Autodimming mirror, compass, and Homelink vs. Homelink only

2003 Nissan Murano SE AWD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Review

I test drove a fully loaded Murano and OH BOY!! it was fun to drive...But the build quality of the interior material is not good. and the grill in the front may rattle as the vehicle gets old. Other than that this is a fun "SUV" to drive

Favorite Features

The exterior styling, Dashboard controls, the CVT transmission. The Mileage is lot better than any in the league.

Suggested Improvements

Material Quality, The Options Package.

Review

I don't own this car but would like to. I spent a lot of time at IRA Nissan and test drove this vehicle. It's a lot of fun to drive and versatile. I'm not sure what to make of the continously variable transmission, time will tell on that. Also, the 18" tires ought to be a bit of a surprise when they need to be replaced, I would bet that they are expensive. Too bad they don't offer a more bare bones AWD version of this car. It's too expensive for me, I'd be all over it if it was available in AWD for under $28 k

Favorite Features

The transmission was very smooth, just not sure how dependable it will be over time. The car was very easy and fun to drive and has plenty of power.

Suggested Improvements

Get rid of the frivolous features, adjustable headlights and pedals. Make the car more affordable

Review

In person the Murano is a beauty. Inside is a different story. The seats are good but not great. The instrument thing on top of the steering wheel looks cheap and feels cheaper. The center dash looks like a glued on after thought. The plastics are OK but dull. There is huge "ledge" under the windshield. Think minivan inside. The V6 is powerful, the CVT strange but it really works. Power is very good from a stop or when passing. The suspension is decent, a little stiffer over bumps, but better than most SUVs. Steering is somewhat tight, but still feels strange. Brakes are good.

Favorite Features

Exterior design is fantastic. Audio options are excellent. Decent gas mileage for a SUV.

Suggested Improvements

Scrap the interior and redesign it. It feels and looks cheap. Lower the price 3K. Visibility is just OK. The engine and CVT make a not so sexy groan when accelerating.

Review

Pros: Good workmanship, Good steering, Nice size, OK ride Cons: Engine Sound, Vibration through gas pedal, Large expansive dash - like a mini van, Costly by the time you add options.

Favorite Features

Test drove last night and was disappointed. I really wanted to like this vehicle. Unfortuately it looks better in pictures than in 3D. It is well built but it does not have the "feel." Car types know what that means.

Suggested Improvements

The worst part was the engine sound, engine vibration through the gas pedal and the large expanse of dash. 18" tire would be costly to replace also. Anyone considering a vehicle of this type should test drive. Overall a very nice vehicle but not a great vehicle.
