Why TL vs Maxima?

I didn't realize my comparison between the 2009 maxima and 2009 TL exterior appearance would generate such discussion. I simply was just comparing the exterior appearance and changes. I have a 2007 Nissan Maxima which makes a popping noise when I turn the vehicle. I just got a 2007 Maxima SL this weekend. I observed the same thing with my first two fill-ups; when the gauge shows nearly empty, the DTE shows 60+ miles and 14 to 15 gallons will fill up the tank. I suspect it's just Nissan being overly conservative to cut us drivers some slack. Read More...

I just bought a used 2007 Maxima SL with 76,500 miles. The oil has been changed every 7500 miles per manual. Tires were just changed at 71K. The owner tells me the brakes were done at 50K. The air filter was changed per factory specs. My question is does the CVT fluid and radiator coolant need to be changed anytime soon. Also, does any other maintenance need to be done. ... Here here to that, U.S. built Maximas (2004-2008) are terrible in materials, craftsmanship, fit and finish, and overall reliability. If anyone has one or sees one, look at the panel gaps around the trunk, the left front fender gap with the front left door is large enough to see the bolts holding the door in place and in addition the top of the left fender sticks out ...
