2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Shopped for nearly 4 months, and
really drove them all. Even took a
decibel meter to measure road noise.
Maxima was number 1. For overall form,
fit, and function nothing compares
under $40k. We drive it everyday to
work and to Canada twice a month for
ski trips. I can afford nearly any
other human car, I'd buy another
Everything, it's pure love
Use Nissian Marono engine to improve
gas mileage. As with either engine the
car will accelerate and cruise well
within the happy/exciting spectrum,
might as well get the gas mileage.
Larger opening for skis, 4 seater
2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
The 2004 Max is my fifth. I started
with a 91,92,98,2000 and now the 04.
The 04 Max is by far the best of the
litter. It has come a long way. I
thought my 2000 Max was as good as it
could get, but Nissan proved me wrong.
The 04 is a good looking car (sexie as
my wife says) and the performance
matches the look. I had it in the
drive way 45 minutes and the neighbors
were all over it. In fact two of them
asked me to adopt them......no kidding.
It is fun to drive. My previous cars
all were manual shifts, but I went with
the automatic/manual trans in the 04. I
am thrilled with its performance.
If you love to drive, the 04 max is
just for you.
The memory settings for seat, steering
wheel, etc. The center display is very
readable in bright sun lite.
None to speak of.......I'll let that to
Nissan to surprise me in my next one.

I absolutely love this car. I loved my
01 SL but this is so much better.
Roomy, fun to drive and it turns a lot
of heads. I love the skyview too. I
purchased in 5/03 and have more than
17K miles now...gets 26-27 mpg on
freeway and 23-25 in the city. I sit
traffic everyday and it still gets gas
mileage.I didn't get the nav. system
but love the display anyway, has a lot
of useful info. especially the
maintenance reminder. Will definitely
recommend and purchase the next
Heated seats and dual driver seat memory
In dash CD changer and awesome sound
system with the steering wheel controls
I have 18's and the turning radius is
bad. The heating/AC is confusing..I
just recently found the location of the
AC adapter...that has to be more easily
