EDITORS' RATINGS OVERALL SCORE:

Overall

RATING

Stunning low-dollar performance is balanced against a stiff ride and an interior that isn't as opulent as some of its competition.

DETAILED EDITORS' RATINGS

Dynamics

RATING

Staggeringly quick, with massive grip and ample poise. This is a class leader that brings world-beating performance to every man. Quicker acceleration than all its rivals at half the price.

Comfort

RATING

Given its abilities, the GT-R isn't terribly uncomfortable, but its ride quality lacks the posh, around-town flexibility of a Corvette or Porsche.

Function

RATING

Adequately functional for a supercar -- easier to get in and out than a Corvette or Lamborghini. More passenger and trunk space too. Still, there's a dedicated functionality to its cockpit that forgets about everyday convenience to a certain extent.

Design/Build Quality

RATING

The GT-R experience is filled with the feeling of brick-solid construction. Still, it lacks the finish of a Porsche or Lamborghini. We didn't witness any issues that would makes us question its quality. And it's gorgeous.

DETAILED PROFILE:

High Performer First and foremost, the GT-R is made to outperform its competition, which it does handily.

Image Enhancer The GT-R's mission statement: "All I care about is going fast."
