Turning radius!!!
Vehicle
2008 Nissan Frontier SE 4dr Crew Cab 6.1 ft. SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Excellent power and rides like a car. Plenty of room for my 6 foot frame. I had a full-sized 2006 Chevrolet crew cab that was easier to get into a parking space than my Frontier. Turning radius is terrible for a mid sized truck. Highway mileage isn't all that much better than the full sized Chevy 2 wheel drive, but city mileage is about 5 mpg better.(18-19 mpg). Headlights aren't very good, fog lights should be standard.
Favorite Features
Plenty of power, doesn't seem to know when you put 1000 pounds on the back! Plenty of room for hauling passengers.
Suggested Improvements
Turning radius! Also, remote entry key fob is poorly designed. Buttons should be recessed to keep from activation by simply moving while it's in your pocket.

Gotta love this truck. Handles well, plenty of power, great fuel economy and it's just fun to drive. I have the 6 speed manual transmission and couldn't be happier

2008 Nissan Frontier XE 4dr King Cab 6.1 ft. SB (2.5L 4cyl 5M)
Review
After 18 mos, still a great truck and I am very happy with it. No mechanical problems at all. Service at dealership has been great. Just got back from a trip into the Colorado Mtns. and it did great on the steep and winding roads. Plenty of power with the 4cylinder. Got my best gas mileage yet of 27.3 mpg coming down out of the mountains. So far have averaged 24 mpg in 13,000 miles of driving with 90% as highway driving. No towing.
Favorite Features
High seating position with good all around vision if you fold down the passenger seat or take off its headrest. I removed the rear jump seat headrests to give better vision outward.
Suggested Improvements
A/C was working very had at 100 degrees F. to keep the interior cool. It was marginal at that kind of temperature outside. otherwise it works well in more moderate temperatures. I have not tinting on windows so that might improve cooling if I had had that.

This truck is as fun to drive today as the day I bought it. It has plenty of power, amazing handling, great 4x4 features and capability, and it very comfortable. Reliability has been great so far, and the interior and exterior hold up well to the elements. It's a great looking truck, and I frequently get compliments on it.
Favorite Features
The fully boxed frame really makes this a "truck". Other great features are the 4-wheel disk brakes, metal box (Tacoma uses composite), utilitrak tie down system, and the locking tailgate.
Suggested Improvements
The only improvement I would make on this truck is with the tires. The stock tires don't impress me to much. But tires can be changed.

Lovin It

2008 Nissan Frontier SE 4dr Crew Cab 5.0 ft. SB (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

Very comfortable interior. Plenty of room inside. Smooth ride. Quiet performance. Gas mileage on recent 900 mile trip to Okalahoma 22 MPG highway and local 18 MPG. Would recommend to anyone interesed in a mid- size pickup truck. I've owned Ford Ranger and Toyota 4Runner and the Frontier beats them hands down.
Favorite Features
Quiet (hardly any road noise), comfortable, powerful, reliable.

Review
I purchased this vehicle because I own a 2001 frontier which has given me excellent service. I have close to 200,000 miles on it and havent had to fix anything, not even the shocks or muffler. Hoping this 2008 frontier will be just as good. My complaints are to much plastic on the inside and the turn radius is awful. I like changing the oil myself but the oil filter is really hard to get to
Favorite Features
the ride and comfort. mileage about average of midsize trucks
Suggested Improvements
less plastic on the inside, better turn radius better gas mileage wouldn't hurt either

I have over 18,000 miles on my 2008 Frontier. My last frontier was a 2002 SC with over 90,000 miles with no problems. This is by far the best performing. Gas mileage is good, average 19.8 combined driving. Rides great with plenty of power.
Favorite Features
Leather, heated mirrors and seats, power and MPG.
Suggested Improvements
Better turning radius. Quality of standard radio.

Review
I have over 50,000 miles on my 2008 Frontier. It has performed well. Gas mileage on the highway is about 20.5 mpg. Good in the snow (4wd). Rides very well on the highway. Smooth ride. No mechanical issues to date. Down side: Turning radius is an issue. It is hard to park and turn in tight spaces. Inside front cabin space is noticeably smaller than a Dakota (I have had 4 dakotas). The Nissan zip type toneau cover is terrible. The cross bar support brackets break easily, it can't seal well at the corners and thus it leaks, harder to remove than a snap-type cover. The standard radio is not as good as it should be (one disc, power is low, no aux audio input). Overall I like my truck.
Favorite Features
Size, power and MPG.
Suggested Improvements
Tighter turning radius, better standard radio, better toneu cover, larger driver cabin space. Relocate seat belt top connection as it impedes view when changing lanes.

I drive a lot and I do heavy towing with this truck. I just went up to Maine towing a 7X14 trailer with 5500 GVW and got 17 MPG. That's what a good full size truck gets without towing a heavy trailer. The truck is very dependable great on and off road and very comfortable for a truck.
Favorite Features
Cruise control on steering wheel. Tow rating.
Suggested Improvements
rear-view mirrors should be heated, at least have the option. Child restraint anchors could be improved - added on King Cab.

Review
I purchased this truck based on the reliability of my older Nissan 4X4 pickup which I purchased new in 1984 and which still runs well. This '08 vehicle is solidly built and engineered to accommodate the demands of a truck which is used for work both on the highway and off-road. Shifting is exceptionally smooth and power from the V-6 is plentiful. Excellent handling on mountainous terrain and in winter weather. Interior features are accessible and comfortable for +6ft. passengers. Rear Jump seats not designed for long-haul comfort but space is useful for stowing items needing protection from the weather. Fuel economy has been 21 mpg highway driving. Utilitrack system a big plus.
Favorite Features
Handling, power, hauling capabilities and Utilitrack system.
Suggested Improvements
Self servicing somewhat difficult otherwise no complaints so far.
