I believe this compact truck is the
best I have driven. Our vacation this
summer consisted of 2900 miles, from
flat lands to climbing Pikes Peak. Had
wife and daughter and packed with
camping gear. Plenty of power, gas
mileage averaged 17.6 mpg, from
cruising 75mph on interstates to
mountain driving. Plenty of get-up and
go. VERY smooth ride, quiet, no road
noise. Solid built little truck. Have
had many positive comments on style and
performance of the truck. Plenty of
room in long bed, even with a Tonneau
top. AC was great.
Supercharger is great, the smooth ride
of sport-tuned suspension is fantastic.
The long-bed is great, is deeper than
all others of this size. Very solid
build. SVE Package comes with all the
bells and whistles, with no need for
Back seat is somewhat cramped for
adults. My 12 year old had plenty of
room though. AC controls could use some
Other than the non repairable alignment issues. And the bad welds on the frame it hasn't been that bad of a truck...
the 5 speed manual looks mean stock sound sytem not too bad
nissan needs to pay better attention to frame quality, the welds holding the leaf spring perches are separating, the crossmember for the torsion bars is not mounted on center so its pushing the drivers side front wheel out causing it to pull. im sure this is just my truck though...
I purchased this truck used in May 2008 to replace a 2000 Dodge Dakota. The truck drives well and can haul whatever I throw in the bed. The 4wd is flawless and works well when the snow flies. The truck has limited slip differentials, so I never get stuck. I have the long bed 4-door model, which is a bit difficult to park in tight situations, but the bigger bed is worth the trade off. The V-6 runs great and gets decent gas mileage for a truck this long. The automatic transmission is lazy on the downshifts, but runs fine. Wish it had a fifth gear for better fuel economy. I installed a Magnaflow exhaust on it, which helped freeway merging and mid- range power greatly.
Long bed for hauling Handling/braking 4-doors for family hauling in a pinch Durability to abuse Good looks/features Reliability
Bit more room in both front and back seats Transmission is typical "slushbox" Move HVAC controls below radio More power/economy
Just bought this truck which had 37,000 miles. Rides a little harsh with off road tires but handles well and looks great. Interior is great, all instruments laid out well. Added a K&N air filter for improved fuel economy. Tows a 6x12 cargo trailer with my 4 wheeler fairly well. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time. looking forward to many years with it!
Exterior is awesome with BF Goodrich off road tires. feels very sturdy. i recommend this truck to anyone looking for a compact truck for light duty.
The Frontier burns way too much gas.
The gas milage is very poor. I suggest
you tak this into account before buying
this truck. The gas alone equals my car
note every month. Also the ride is very
rough and the BF Godrich tires that
come stock on the truck wear
prematurely and they cost 150.00 each
