I drove a '99 Frontier XE 4cyl King Cab
until it had 207,000 miles in it when I
worked for a Nissan dealer as a parts
driver, and I can tell you this is the
most durable truck I've ever been in.
The updates are mostly cosmetic
between '99 and '03, so I feel this
experience relevent. I'm planning on
buying a 2003 Frontier sometime next
Tough as nails, works like a team of
horses. Gets really good fuel economy
(averaged 21mpg city) and has decent
power. Looks great, and has a nice
tasteful interior. American made with
alot of American parts, it's an example
in quality for GM, Ford, and Chrysler.
No power package availible on 2003 4cyl
XEs, why? Rear seat (storage) room
could be better, and a V6 model that's
not jacked-up would be nice. Where's
the Pathfinder's 3.5? Oh yeah, Japan.
Can't wait for the full-size, I just
hope it's full-size not Tundra-size.
