Get one loaded with all the features,
you won't be dissapointed. I owned a Jeep
Cherokee before this - what a pile of crap that
was! The Nissan Super Charged Crew Cab
Long Box is awesome! I added only the Nissan
Bugshield (looks great) and a trailer hitch. I
also tossed the cheap plastic bedliner and got
Line-X spray-in bedliner instead. It's alot
better & quiet! On top of the bed is a
Jackrabbit retractable cover - it goes great
with the Nissan rails! Maybe later I'll addbigger
tires. A great truck - you'll love it.
Kickin' 300 watt Rockford 6 disc in-dash CD
changer with 8 speakers and a sub - totally
rocks! The leather is super comfortable and
I'd only want a totally retractable moonroof
like in the Maxima instead of the flip-up
sunroof. It's almost perfect otherwise.
It's a great little truck -- very
handy. I purchased the shortbed for
ease of handling offroad, but would
prefer the longbed for hauling loads.
Handling is very nice with less
understeer than some of the
competitors' offerings and better ride
than the Tacoma, which I also looked
-- Five speed transmission.
-- Bed extender.
-- 4.61 axle gearing.
-- Excellent dependibility
-- Excellent value for the $$$.
-- More low end torque. (Maybe the 3.4
or 3.8 V6?)
-- 2.73 or lower gearing in transfer
-- Redesign the front bodywork to
accomodate a winchmount and bumper,
please!!! (ARB or similar) The 2000
nose was MUCH better for that.
It's been almost 2 years and I'm still
loving this truck. It's by far the
best vehicle I've ever had. The style
and preformance cannot be match by any
of the other small trucks on the
market. I would still recommend this
truck to anyone. Just be sure to get
the long bed. Don't waste your time on
the short bed.
Overall, I really like my Frontier.
Its great for short trips in town or
long vacation trips. The crew cab
works out great for small to medium
size children. I highly recommend the
crew cab. It hauls kids, groceries,
and a full load in the cargo bed.
Would I buy another Frontier? YES!
