  • 2002 Nissan Frontier rear shakes

    Written by: jgs15 on May 17, 2009 9:35:33 PM

I have a '02 Frontier Desertrunner kingcab. The bed shakes bad on uneven roads. I had the propeller, u-joints, and carrier bearing checked already and was told everything was ok. A mechanic said that this was common with frontiers. Is that true? And has someone encountered and been able to solve the problem or at least minimize the shaking/vibration? I'd appreciate any info or suggestions. Thanks.

Some pretty good points there. I have no idea what kind of warranty a Dodge dealer would give you on a used Nissan, but if you have a $1000 air conditioner repair, and the dealer honors the closed dealers warranty you have an unusual situation there. If they charge $2000 and it is a 50/50 warranty you have the normal screwjob situation. You may be lucky the dealership is in business ... Read More

Thank you for the advice. You bought a five-year-old car from a dealership that is out of business.... Most used cars aren't guaranteed to have the original engine, anyway.. I kinda thought that way too. But it just sucks when you know you've been had.... Now that the truck is seven years old, it likely wouldn't even have any effect on the value of the truck, either..
