I bought new from a Nissan dealer, no problem with selection. I am assuming you know that if you are looking for a mid size pickup, the domestics have pretty much thrown in the towel. Some pretty good points there. I have no idea what kind of warranty a Dodge dealer would give you on a used Nissan, but if you have a $1000 air conditioner repair, and the dealer honors the closed dealers warranty you have an unusual situation there. If they charge $2000 and it is a 50/50 warranty you have the normal screwjob situation. You may be lucky the dealership is in business ... Read More

Sounds like the clutch throw-out bearing or the bushing. Actually, I have a '98 Frontier 4WD and it has done the same thing a couple of times but then it stopped. The bad news is that it is a real pain to change because you have to remove the transmission do get to the throw-out bearing. If you get to that change the clutch plate too.

Everything,Speedometer,Tach, fuel remain frozen at the reading when it went out and comes back in a few minutes or as long as a couple of hours. Yeah, I just noticed that myself. However, I spoke with a few dealers and Nissan corporate regarding the 2005 Frontier and I was told that while some trucks may actually hit lots by the middle of November, the official release is going to be December 2004. As far as a lift kit goes, Id be very interested in a 2-3" Lift as I noticed the 05's look to sit a bit ... Read More

I have a 2000 Frontier that I bought in 2002 with 25K miles on the clock. Not too long after I bought it it developed a suspension clunk. I took it to the dealer and they had it for two days replacing something (I don't remember what exactly) and it was fine for about a year....then it developed the clunk again. I complained to the dealer but they said the repair ... Read More

Hi. I just bought a 2000 Nissan frontier and when I came out for work this morning, after some heavy overnight rains, there was a small puddle of water on the passenger side floor... apparently running down the door seam. Anyone have experience with this... experience with fixing this? Thanks. Daniel.

I believe that jbrother is correct. I have a 95 Nissan SE V6 4X4 with a flip-up glass sunroof and I saw the same thing on a 2000 SE crew cab. I have never seen a power sunroof on any Nissan hardbody or Frontier pickup. I agree that this flip-up sunroof version is of limited use - even the shade on mine is dumb as it does not slide but has ... Read More

The condition is a band approximately 1-1/2" to 2" high and runs the entire length of both door panels on the lower portion, midway between the break in the metal and the bottom of the door panel. Except for a small oil leak from the rear main seal, I have had no problems of any kind. The leak was so small that not a drop ever hit the ground. The dealer discovered it during routine service. • More Hot Air

I too have noticed the "hot air" issue in my 2000 CC. This issue was discussed several months ago on the Yahoo Frontier clubhouse. The cause seems to be that the vent intake is routed too close to the catalytic converter, thus the heat exchange raising the temperature of ambient air. Basically a design fault, and one that Nissan probably will do nothing about. Just a minor inconvienence, but still a ... Read More

The Dakota Quad Cab is a beautiful truck. Unfortunately it's not nearly as reliable as the Nissan. Go to Yahoo.com and the Nissan Frontier Clubhouse and ask your question there too. My understanding is Dodge products eat transmissions. Even if it's warranteed you don't need the aggravation. I have my 2000 Crew Cab since February 2000 and have 12000 miles with ZERO problems. The Nissan Crew Cab is a great deal for an SUT. Consider the prices of today's family sedans or even the prices for a full-size reg. cab 4x2 pick-ups both groups serve their own useful purpose. The Crew Cab however compromises between the two for what I considered a good value. Its going to sport a 206HP/245ft/lbs single-overhead-cam V6! Larger interior, 4x4 or 4x2 models, and tons of standard features.
